Please release an .ISO containing the game client and all the patches on one disc

I'm reinstalling the game and this is taking forever.

Much like how Microsoft released the Windows 7 Service Pack 1 disc that has the majority of the updates already installed, a FF14 disc that contains all the updates already installed would be a very great gesture to the fans.

Show the fans that you care about them and that their time is valuable

Make playing the game easier for new players. Taking 3 hours to install the game might just drive some new players away.

It won't make a lick of difference regarding piracy since you need a valid key to play the game anyway.

Release it either as a burnable ISO, or just a big fat install program.

It won't be that hard to do. I'm sure you can manage it.

We would be quite grateful.

It'll be just like FFXI, they'll eventually redistribute the game that's (fairly) more up to date compared to it's 2002/2003 version.

For now they already repackage the newest updates into a single update instead of having to download 50 something updates after a fresh install. By the way, your HDD may just be slowing down because it took me only 15 minutes to fresh install a new XIV client, however it DID take me over 2 hours to install it onto an external HDD I bought 10 years ago.

So an updated Disk/Iso (if they ever offer game download, which I believe they said they will for 2.0) will happen, that's a given unless this is also something they throw out because they did it with their previous MMO >.>

Dont worry after jan 6th there will not be many new players intill ps3 version and 2.0. By then they will have new copies out on in stores and that will have all of the patches. I rather SE work on getting 2.0 out then people doing a 1 time install and patch updates.

I don't see Square releasing a updated master iso print till during the 2.0 beta or at least till 1.22

I would like to see a Repair utility that scans my FFXIV-based directories, then fixes any missing or corrupt game files I have so that I do not have to re-install on a patch gone bad.

I'd be happy with a .torrent file posted on the official forums at release time. I don't know why but the bit torrent client updater for me never works right...... Actually it would be awesome if they added to the bit torrent client to show connections and actual download/upload speeds rather than a % which seems to never update.

15 minutes? I'm downloading 10 patches that contain over a GB of data as we speak.

As if it would take that long to develop. I can slipstream an old Windows install disc in 20 minutes.
