I apologize for the delay in this response. As many of you have a variation of this error (and is likely caused by different things) I'll start with a list of potential solutions. I apologize if some of you have tried these, but this is just so we can be on the same page.

    1) Switch to DirectX 9 mode (select ‘Config’ from the launcher to turn off DirectX 11)
    2) Update/reinstall your graphics card drivers if you have not already
    3) Disable any overlays you may have open (Geforce Experience, Discord Overlay, etc.)
    4) Set compatibility mode to Windows 7 (right click on the ffxivboot.exe file and select ‘Properties.’ Then select the ‘Compatibility’ tab and choose Windows 7)
    5) Perform a clean boot. Simply open the task manager and select the 'Start up' tab. Disable everything here and restart the PC.
    6) Reinstall the game (also make sure to delete the locally saved files in My Documents > My Games > Final Fantasy XIV).

Please let me know if you are still experiencing the error after trying the above. Please include where the crash happens, the error message, how often it happens and when it started happening.

We hope we can be of assistance in helping you enjoy the exciting world of Final Fantasy XIV!
I have done everything you have suggested, some multiple times over in the sense of reinstalling my graphics card drivers and FFXIV four times yesterday, as well as the compatibility mode. For me, it only ever happens when I try to enter Alphascape. And running the game on Dx9 works for everything, but for my machine running it in Dx11 makes it run smoother if that makes sense. It is only on Dx11, it makes me crash in Alphascape stilll. <-- this is the error I got.

It was only using the: for %d in (*.dll) do regsvr32 -s %d : in the command prompt that enabled me to run the rest of the game on Dx11 without crashing, but the raids continously cause it. It should be stated however that now I don't even get an error message, I just get a black screen and FFXIV entirely closes itself and all of its processes.
