Enkidoh, it certainly was a good idea to keep them. A lot of sets are missing only one item and it usually just comes down to a dye problem. I don't see them adding back 1.0 items either, but so much of this could be fixed with a better dye system. Even the Fortemps haubergeon, if you only had more control in the dye system you could make your own.

We need more Ishgard glam of both sorts: Militaristic and Civilian. These should certainly be on the list.

I too tried doing a Temple Knight glamour but without that shield or vambraces, it just doesn't feel complete, have a +1 from me.

Maybe a new feature for high level crafts would be to include a dye as part as the craft materials and even make them elemental again, and we have ourselves the options of making the dated stuff.
These items weren't like the White Ravens, these were just regular items nobody thought anything of.
Since they're still in the game, it may actually be easier than adding new pieces of gear, and for the majority of players, these are all new stuff! Win-win, no?

I only had a few dated accessories, somehow I never had any body pieces leftover coming in to 2.0.

At this point I agree that some changes to the dye system like that would be the best way to go. Changes to the dye system wouldn't be a bad thing in general.

I could see them giving us the shield if they ever do an Ishgard-based GC! Otherwise we'd be unqualified to wear the colors of the Temple Knights (or any of the high houses...Fortemps, please!!!!)

I wouldn’t be against the ability to craft “replica dated X”—I really do like the canvas tabard that Tataru wears (pink and all), but the ARR version has the chainmail under it and the breast-guard, and I’m not a fan of either. I like the simplicity of the original tabard.

Having some people with Ishgard GC being seen by green leafs is no weirder than green leafs teleporting to their FC's Kugane house.

That ship has clearly sailed. There is no reason lore wise for Ishgard to gain a GC, because the whole reason the GCs were established in the first place was to cover manpower shortages in the three main cities and consolidate their resources in the lead-up to the Calamity, because the three cities did not actually have full-time standing armies (they only had token militia forces, hence the whole point of the 'adventurer system' in the first place), in order to mount a suitable defence against Nael van Darnus and the VIIth Legion's imminent invasion.

Ishgard on the other hand, never established a GC because they remained independent of the Eorzean Alliance and did not participate with the other cities in the Battle of Carteneau. Moreever, they had no need to establish a GC, as they already maintained a full-time standing army that was continuosly mobilized because it was fighting the Dragonsong War - it even has it's own volunteer force in the form of the Convictors, a rowdy and undisciplined bunch to be sure.

Besides, Ishgard's story is pretty much completed now, the narrative's focus is now on Gyr Abania and the Far East and onwards towards Islabard and the Garlean capital, so with Ishgard's day in the sun passing, SE probably won't be adding much else gameplay wise to it I'm afraid.

Unlike the white ravens, hoarding dated items isn’t an accomplishment worth preserving with replicas. Adding recipes for the original dated items would be fine.
