The virtual currency "Moogle Coins" in the FFXIV Companion app must be removed

The ability to buy any tradable currency officially is a good way in countering rmt. Therefore, if it's tradable currency then I'm not completely against it since the actions against rmt seem to be sluggish anyway.

You guys heard of the kingdom hearts mobile game? Ever since that Game came out I’ve felt like SE has been greedy and money grubby. That game does nothing but try to take your money, I’m not surprised they are trying to take more money with another app. It’s been along time since I felt SE cared about the gamers

The one point that they did clarify, at the very least, is that the increase of one retainer slot is included in the premium subscription after all. It increases your max retainers by one. If you have a just a game subscription + this premium in this app, you'll be able to have 3 retainers in-game. After the last time they discussed this, we seemed to understand that it would give you the "ability to purchase" another retainer, as if it would only be useful to people who already purchased the max retainers, but they clarified today that this isn't the case. (He even said, if you subscribe to the app, you could cancel one of your added retainers to get the same net effect.)

The thing I fear about this is whether or not people find out how to hack the xiv companion IPA and give themselves unlimited moogle coins. Since apple doesn't tell the app developers about who refunded what, u can essentially make several purchases for the max amount of currency and then refund it all through apple and then go and give urself through a hacked IPA the equivalent of all those moogle coins that u bought and XIV won't know that u refunded it and you will have the amount u purchased so u essentially got free money to spend on marketboard. The devs wont be the wiser. I think this is a really bad idea.

I came to chime in. I will NOT be buying mog coins.. 5$ to be able to "sell" 30 items? I go through WAY more then that in a single day!

I can use Splashtop (as one remote access to my pc tool) and do it for FREE!

I do like the chat functions.. but this moogle coin.. for WHAT? Not a good move here SE and honestly the app will die.
