    As another complaint, I find it horrendous that there are Triple Triad cards gated behind Pagos. If I want to collect all of the cards for a minigame, I have to level up to 17 in Anemos, content wholly unrelated, and then level up to at least 33-ish or so (if I'm not mistaken) to get the NM card reward from Louhi!

    On a minor note, I'm annoyed Louhi has a card, but Pazuzu does not. I want to see flavor text on Pazuzu, too!

    I had to come here and add my thoughts on just how poorly Eureka and Pagos in particular were implemented. I agree with so much that has been said already.

    The story was barely touched on when you get in...just told to basically grind. Give me a reason to push past the terrible leveling experience of Pagos at least.

    I also get grinding. I do. I leveled all battle jobs/crafters/gathers to 70 and working on alts. What I don't get is how unrewarding pagos is. You can be in the instance for the whole time and barely get close to the exp needed to level up. Not too mention the battle rotations you have to keep doing nonstop or if you're healing you have to pray your mana holds up during the chain pulls. Just not fun.

    I get that it is a place for partying up with other players. I get that. I kinda liked the way we could add or drop from groups, change jobs, send tells, etc. It made Eureka feel like a part of the server and not just another instance I queued for. I actually hope more content is designed that way since we have cross server linkshells and party finder. There's no time to enjoy the company of the other players right now in Pagos. Just chain grind.

    Changes that should be considered:
    • Reduce basic mob HP or make the leveling up faster...
    • Boost EXP yield for mobs and uncap the chain limit. Have mobs start dropping treasure (Harmony potion mats, eyes, crafting mats in general) like in HoH or PotD after a certain number.
    • Reduce K.O. penalty, remove it , or change it into something else like a reduction on time left in the instance. Maybe do like in the Ala Mhigo Dungeon and have us sneak back into our bodies to prevent loss of exp. Something.
    • "Reraise" items like in PotD and HoH should be included.
    • There needs to be a time announcement for when the instance is dying. I was almost deleveled because I forget to check how many people were in my instance still while I was exploring and only 5 of us left.
    • Add "Hidden" buffs like from beast tribe sylph dailies that you can acquire to sneak around with.
    • Give out daily quests with EXP/Crystals/Treasure Chests as rewards. There are so many NPCs just...there.
    • Increase NM frequency or change spawns. Either give us items to force pop them. Make them like S rank spawns (dropping to 1 hp, deaths, having minions out, etc).
    • Let us earn our mounts earlier.
    • Magicite Board isn't even used as much in Pagos...I was hoping to be able to have elemental attack and defense without splitting my 5 magicites up finally.
    • Groups need a level sync toggle...not having it reduces the number of people in the instance you can party with.
    • Allow crafters and gatherers in the instances and split it like 75% Battle/25% other so people can do other things like make exp potions inside the instance. I know they tried this in Diadem, but maybe 3rd time is the trick?

    This content was already so delayed...I mean..the 3.0 relic was really delayed to the point the first few steps didn't even matter just like in 4.0 oddly enough. At least 2.0 relics were useful when you got them and upgraded them.

    I liked the visuals of Anemos. It felt dangerous and looked really interesting. So many vivid colors and then you have Pagos...which is kinda flat so far. Very white. Very hard to navigate with all the cliffs. Cliffs for days. The few pops of blue and green really aren't enough. I was also kinda hoping for some swimming or jumping puzzle type stuff to get to new secret areas (which was kind of done with Brothers NM area in Pagos to be fair).

    Gonna leave this with a memory from earlier times since the dev team seems to have forgotten it.

    Let's be honest here that once the trains were full of higher level players the mobs went down before a lot of folks could even get a shot off. Due to this I was never bothered with the AFK's in Anemos as killing most mobs wasn't really work.

    It turns out you are actually better off leveling to 22 or 23 in Anemos then switching to Pagos.

    Here's my 2 cents on Eureka. I don't think we need more thread about how frustrating Eureka is.

    Eureka's definition - Eureka is content designed to be an alternated way to obtain gear. Weapons and Armor pieces in this game. The main target Eureka aims are none-raiders.

    I believe there is 4 different kind of players when it comes to a game and MMO in general. Raider vs none-raiders. Hardcore versus Casual.

    And that's where Eureka is a complete failure. Eureka/Relic is trying to please none-raiders and casuals but the concept of it fits hardcore players. Eureka/Relic is:

    - A huge time sink. You will spend hours upon hours to obtain 1 weapon. (Not casual friendly)
    - Content that isn't needed for raiders because they have iLevel 375 with Sigmascape/UwU
    - Content released during raid downtime (I'm very likely not the first one to notice SE waits that raid content has been cleared by a lot of people)
    - Content made for players to remain online in FFXIV.

    Personally, I am a raider. I've cleared Sigmascape in 2 weeks and UwU in 6 weeks. I've spent roughly 80 hours of progression to get my first UwU clear and reclears take about 1 hour. I am not an hardcore because I have a full time job which I do 10 hour shifts. Also, FFXIV isn't my life, I do like to do other things. I want to do my Relic quest because I like to complete my goals but I can't afford the time this content is asking me to do. First of all, this is an insane and repetitive grind. I doN't see ANY fun in punching mobs pressing the same 6 buttons hours upon hours. Eureka isn't content designed for me, I'm too discouraged to even continue and burn myself out. The reason is very simple! By the time I'll have casually grind my very first 370 relic weapon, I'll probably have cleared Alphascape Savage and obtained a 405 weapon. It is also guaranteed people will be able to get 380 weapons and options with the new Primal. My only hope is that SE will nerf the grind by that time and the next time won't be a massive grindfest.

    This is truly saddening. I had enjoyed the relic quest during 2.x because I felt it was part of the adventure and that I had to grind it up. Now, the Relic is just an excuse to have the player-based logged on the game. I understand why they do it, I feel they aren't taking the right approach.

    Personally, I would have prefer more interactive missions and fun challenges with a certain amount of grind but to have a progression cap per week. It doesn't have to be a static progression. It could take 3 to 5 weeks depending how well you've performed but a cap similar to Mendacity Tomes cap feels much obliged. Tomes gives you an incentive to log in every week spending hours to collect them and purchase armor pieces for the jobs you want. I'm wondering why Eureka isn't like that. It does sound punishing to hardcore players who get their the first week but there is PLENTY of options for them to get gear.

    Anyways... that was my rant and point of view of the problem. I'm not going to bother with Eureka anymore and I won't bother with any relic quest that remotely looks similar to Eureka. I play for fun so I don't play for Eureka Pagos.

    I have literally just stuck to the challenge logs as it gives you about 2 lvls a week then move on to other games. This slide perfectly depicts how complacent the team is and when I miss the days of fate grinding for stones in ARR that should be a sign you messed up. Right now this is the second time that Yoshi promised new never before seen content in an MMO only to find out its an instance with just a fate/mob grind. Diadem had gather points and people could work at their own pace or group up. Pagos is just group up or finish challenge log and wait till next week.

    Sad to see this game in its current state as a player since 2.0 launch.

    We all know what will happen here, cause it's already happening, people are rushing to get the weapon/weapons and then when they get it? They WILL stop doing it, because the grind is too much, and pagos will slowly start to die, leaving those left behind SOL. They should of just kept it like Anemos, because Anemos was better in terms of people working together and such..now all I see in pagos is every man for themselves and it's just a mess. It's boring as hell too. The event's jump puzzle was more fun than Pagos LOL
