I'm playing MHW too. I'm not new to the genre, but it's going to be my first time playing a MH game. Enjoying it so far. Had the pleasure of meeting Anjanath last night when that huge thing crept up on me, LOL. Pagos has been disappointing, so I'm filling the gap with MHW while I'm waiting for 4.4. Rathalos was the only part that I liked about this patch.

But yeah, just buy the game if you wanted more combat like this. I don't mind the Rathalos fight, but I feel like the population feels a little split on having more fights like this. xP

Do you mean in terms of not using a controller? Cause you can just buy a controller or use one with your PC and play like you would on a console! I use both KBM and controller, but prefer the Xbox One controller on my PC for the game since it feels much better in my hands than the Dualshock does.

Pretty sure the whole idea here is to get people to buy MHW. I think it's working.

I tend to use the bow and I've played too many shooters on PC to use a controller. I am aware of the option, but for me I prefer KB+M.

I smell a conspiracy, make pagos terrible, at the same time release a taste of MHW, to entice players to quit FF14 and go play MHW?

I think it was smart releasing it right around the Steam /PC release of Monster Hunter World. MH got the single biggest new game concurrent players when it launched for the year on Steam. It was over 300k last time I checked.

I hope we get more events/trials later on, but for the moment rathalos is great on its own. I'm still having trouble getting a dedicated group to farm the mount.
