You and many others in this thread seem to being missing that not every post here is pro bunny eared elf. And many of the posts that are are by the same few people. This is not a thread of over 2k people wanting them. And even if it was 2k isn't really that many people compared to the over all population of the game.

Personally if anything they need to add more options for current races rather than added another new race that will be very similar to others already in the game

I can't think of any other thread OP that has anywhere near as many likes as this one. 366 is probably about 10x more than the average of threads of a similar type.

It's even more likes than most Letter from the Producer posts get, and those tend to get a ton of likes. (the most recent ones get sub-200)

That doesn't really change anything though. Saying that Viera should be added just because it has more likes than a normal thread doesn't really make since. Then when you realize that we can't dislike a post, so seeing how many are on the other side is near impossible, it just seems silly to base anything off of likes.

Also going back to original point. Why are there so few like compared to the number of posts? Could it be that there are not as many people in this thread that are pro bunny as many trying to claim? Or could there perhaps be people posting many times inflating the number of posts (not saying they are doing it on purpose)? It is clearly both.

Then the first post saying "no, I don't want bunnies" would have way more likes than the first post, even taking into account people not reading past the first page (the first page has a post saying "no I don't want them" with 66 likes) that would be enough for people to gauge the likes/dislikes ratio (368 VS 66 ). Also, this is an old thread, whenever people comment on it, it will get bumped up, and so people will see it, like it if they support and/or comment. (In many threads, if it's something people really don't want, the OP will have one or two likes while the second post, normally saying "pls no" will have 10 times that)

And of course there would be people commenting several times, this is a Forum, a Forum invites discussion, discussion means people will back up their points or not, just like you're doing right now. Also, Viera and a character creation expansion are NOT mutually exclusive; even if it were, a new race (especially one as high requested and this isn't even the FIRST thread about it) is easier to implement than an overhaul of the Character Creation system, even if the dev team's main point against it is "we don't want to go back and redo every shoe" is very similar to a "we don't want to go back and re-test almost everything in the character creator"

Also, you can be pro-something without <kupo>ing on the people that want something else, especially when they're not mutually exclusive

I ask you, what other race sugestion has as many like on it? Invalidating a thread due to the opposition not being able to undermine a Support Viera thread (not a discussion for or against their inclusion but a request by the OP to Show Your Support...) with dislikes, is like letting a vegan write reviews for a steak house...

I think at this point it's an accepted fact that they are the most asked for race. From how many threads pop up about them on message broads to the poll where they beat out every other choice given. That's all the reason I think is needed really ... provided SE decides to make another race. Heck, you even have the dev telling a fan that they shouldn't give up hope for them and that their high heel is tricky ... leading many to believe it's a matter of when, not if.

Sure, this thread has a fair amount of bickering with those that don't want them but that doesn't discount the post talking about ways they would like to see them or how they can fill in gaps in the current options.

Personally I feel that that can fill the gap for a tall amazon females. FemRoes are more like tall, athletic, goofy women. Like, their emotes and poses don't scream amazon and their body shape is more "I'm a physical trainer and health nut". Sure, you have the imposing stance with fist on hips ... but you also have laid back and cute poses as well as out right goofy school girl stuff like the happy emote.

As for the feet, I think there can be a system set up for it. Female shoes with a high heel and hightop boots can be exaggerated to fit their feet. Flats and sneakers can be turned into a footwrap based on the shoe. Sandals could get string/ lace like treatment and full on heavy armor boots can be plating on the top of the foot with straps or wraps used to hold it on the foot. Bam, makes sense to me.

I mean, that's pretty much how GW2 deal with it with the Charr IIRC. Some shoes are exaggerated to fit their feet with room for their toes cut out, some become foot warps and some become metal platting on the top of their feet. And if you're worried about them putting effort into something only to have it not pay off then I'd say it can be an investment for more new races or hybrid race/ tribe with a high heel in the future.

One really goofy workaround they do when modeling would be to segment the leg at about the mid shin or even the knee and when making footwear model it from that point. Then you could even do things like (admittedly not very tall) high heels and still use the same animations and everything since the character height wouldn't change, its just essentially treating the lower leg as part of the shoe for animation purposes.

I have read all posts as they have come in this thread. Not counting the same repeating people for or against adding viera, it seems that more people posted for its inclusion in this thread.

Obviously, not every post is going to be a "for or against" comment. A lot of posts are discussion/speculation/art/etc... posts.

I have been playing Miqo'te since launch of ARR. I am excited about the concept of bringing Viera into the game and I would totally use a fantasia that has been sitting on my retainer for...years now.

Based on what I have seen so far and bare with me as I am very much still a newbie, I love the idea of viera being added to the game. In general another species will add further diversity and customisation which is something people, including myself love. If it can't be added or the idea gets squashed, possibly even the aspect of further customisation options on the current species could be good too? Either way I adore the concept art for both types and I gotta admit I just love things with big ears and/or floppy ears, its hella cute in my opinion, especially when they look fierce and strong as well haha.
