*Runs Mentor Roulette, complains when dungeon they don't like comes up*
Frankly, if you are running that roulette, you better be okay with *every* fight that can pop up being done. Expecting otherwise is just silly.
This is actually hilarious, I really hope we get a dev response on this and whether or not it's reportable. It's not technically a "bug" so I don't consider it an exploit so I'd really like to hear from the Square.
I always thought that MSQ was just a mess per se, and as a matter of fact I haven't touched it since HW because it was boring, annoying, and nowadays I can get more experience with other roulettes like Alliance and manually queueing for dungeons.
With that said, I think they should (if they bother to begin with) rework the two dungeons to scale it for 4man, since they're essentialy rotten data at this point and you only need to clear it once, just like every single dungeon in the game so far. That way at least you can put them in a levelling queue and you only need 3 more people to tag along, helping it a bit - removing the cutscenes and making them ingame instead would alleviate the dead times.
But the MSQ roulette itself...I have always thought this way: it's the main story roulette, and yet we never get actually MSQ moments in the roulette (besides these 2, which could also be in Trial roulette), so why not make us relive moments of the MSQ in it? Give some stuff unique to that roulette (maybe a material stone i dunno) as you relive the major key scenes in the story in a solo queue or maybe scale it up to 4 man?
I mean I don't care about the story but they have put effort on that stuff, but people only do it ONCE (unless you reroll, but why would you?): why not just let us redo it more than once with an incentive? I just feel pretty wasteful and they're essentially rotten data at this point.
Or whatever keep this way, story is important, game's perfect, yadda yadda...at this point I lost faith in having it fixed by the end of the millenium,
Probly the same folks that got my Metal Gear Solid and Xenosaga series cut-scenes shortened...
smh.

Wow, Closing the program and relogging seem like a pain to save a few mins over the course of a run.
They just need to rework this dungeons so there is no CS and it's all done Pre or Post entering.
Wouldn't work.
Doing all the fights and then having all the cutscenes happen all at once would get...messy.
You beat Lahabrea...wait what? Why the heck am i back at the entrance watching the airship drop me off in the dungeon? And then "What the heck, i already killed this guy!" and so on.
The timeline jumping around like that would be horrible.
Same problem with having it all before entering.
Try again.
It's honestly just simple: If you can't handle watching the cut scenes... don't run it.
Period.
Do the speed runs elsewhere. As a sprout or leveling an alt, grit your teeth the ONE time and then never do it again. Or buy the jump and never look back if it's that much of a strain on you to wait and watch story, even if it's repeated.
Those are the options as they stand. They've upped the rewards for people who want to TAKE THE TIME... otherwise, you really really do not need to be in there making life otherwise vexing for those who ARE willing to do it.
Then don't do it.
