Quality of players I run into in duty finder.
Context? we sat around for a good minute doing nothing soo I started a countdown, went in died, xxxx laughs at you, tank takes over, I lay there the entire fight without being ressed and then he said at the end of the run, "don't try to be a tank". I mean like okay I get your point but there was 7 of you and not 1 of you could say you're not ready or even type anything for that matter, funny thing is they didn't kick me before opening the chests and I got loot \o/
edit: yes I reported the 1 who spoke and emoted me,1 of the healers, you can make out who it is to whoever trys to attack me from ultros for this post :3

So...regardless of the players just sitting around, since there's no reason for that - you have beef because you pulled and got yourself killed? On a healer? Am I understanding that correctly?

What they're saying is that the tanks had extremely cold feet and neither seemed to want to be a tank (which would even frustrate me, which is why I go as tanks for Normal Raid/Trial now) and even after starting a countdown to try and urge the tanks to actually start... they still did nothing. So she pulled (as a DRG) and died as a result of two tanks who didn't want to tank.

When I enter a Duty and I see the other tank isn't choosing a stance, I'll default to Shield Oath. This is during the time waiting for the newbies cutscene to end and maybe 3-5 seconds after barrier drops.

It seems that the 7 were a premade group and probably were waiting because someone needed a few seconds and the op decided to pull themselves as a dps which is really annoying regardless of the circumstance.

I find it more annoying they just sit there doing nothing, doesn't even say "wait please" and expect others to sit and wait with them. They could have just spoke up when the countdown start but they didn't. And it wasn't a few seconds, was a full minute, so it's common courtesy to inform others to wait a little.

Or...she could've just spoken up in chat before just randomly starting a countdown. "Is everybody ready?" or something to that effect before starting a spontaneous countdown. If nobody responds, then yolo, do what you feel is necessary. I get it's annoying, but from what was said her, she stood around doing nothing just like they did, and paid the price for it. Lesson to take from here: try speaking up first to see what the deal is.

Yes that too, she could have spoken up when they didn't do anything for such a long time, both party is at fault here. If they were waiting for something they should have said something instead of keeping quiet, like I said it's common courtesy to inform others and not wait for others to ask you, hence the reason why I am more annoy at people that sat there doing nothing and not informing the party to wait for a while, but I will probably ask 'ready?' in the chat if the wait was too long rather than jumping in and pull.

Dumb accomplishment of the day: I pugged O7S this week and ended up in a party with a rather popular streamer from my server. I didn't really realize this until after the fact, but now I'm a bit miffed at myself for screwing up and not watching my aggro, and ripped hate on the boss at a pretty bad time.

The streamer's recording is mildly amusing at least. (Skip to around 03:08:40)

    (I want quelling strikes back)

"Consider this old adage: When a Bard sings alone in a desert, and no one is around to hear him... Is he truly singing?"

I am by no means salty that they left me on the floor. (im a dragoon not healer)
I'm salty about this behaviour of making an example of somebody to teach a lesson, if you can't see my argument to this toxicity, it's very much the same thing as you standing in an aoe and dieing, I don't res you because "don;t stand in aoe's next time" because you are totally going to learn from me doing that.

I'm just ranting but anyways I can see where toxic people are now born, I kept it civil and said thanks for the loot, had I had a short fuse like the various hotheads I've met I would have stooped low and cursed them down only to get reported by all 7 of that premade

Numero uno - the analogy was not a good representation. How does pulling as a non-tank on a boss fight corroborate in any way to dying in an AOE in a middle of a fight?

Numero dos - If they emoted over you and refused to rez you, yeah, that is definitely a douche move on their part, and yes, the players who emoted over you as a form of mockery are reportable. On that we agree on.
