After I thought about it for a bit, I realized Asahi's white outfit would be a lazy recolor right up SE’s alley. So that might be a thing down the line.

Females get yotsuya gear while males get a recolor

But i doubt we will ever see yotsuyas dress or anything similar in game since the lower half is so tight it would look awfull in movement

This one in particular annoyed me greatly. I was excited to do the Hildebrand quests as I was thinking it was a reward for those (NOPE!). Was disappointed to find it on the Mogstation, even though the original version of the outfit was quested.

By “quested” you mean requested, right? (Or are you using it to mean ‘acquired from a quest’?)

The normal version of the costume is a quest reward for completing the ARR plotline.

Sadly, this. It really should have just been added into the game- same with all mogstation exclusive items. But who am I kidding- SE is a small indie company that needs the money. It's why we also pay for bonus retainers as inventory space. Server limitations until we cough up more money.

Lol this is exactly what I'm going to do to my alts large mist. Im going for a stormblood theme obviously. Im planning to add a Lysa in the yard as well. However, on the Lord Hien, I'll try to match up my Highlanders retainer as close as possible. The hair will be an issue though...mmi might just toss on a hat on and call it good. lol

Quick reminder, though it's not so vital since they didn't include the hair - nonstandard hair cannot be put on retainers. They can only choose from the base hairstyles not any that you've aquired for either money or in-game methods. Which sucks, I want the mgp ponytail on my alt's retainer ;-;
