I was enjoying it - Just got to 81 in my group. Then Rubahan joined the pt unexpectedly and now we can't get back inside. rip!
Really love the boss fights especially the return of WoD Cereberus as a 4 man boss.

Call it a conspiracy theory, but I'm a firm believer this "we don't want to overload people by releasing it all at once" is PR-speak for "we're undermanned and don't have it all ready yet."

Yeah, I'm currently in a group that just cleared 60 and will be continuing tomorrow. All those gold sacks gave me were materia and a couple clothing items.I think you get better rewards if you brave the higher floors. Sticking to 1-29 will most likely just be Materia/Sparklers and maybe the hairstyle.
Speaking of the hairstyle, I got that from 1-10. Instantly sold it because that hair will not look good on my Roebro (not with my current glamour, anyway).
I did get a sophic barding from my last from silver sack, though, which surprised me.

ill enjoy it for what it is since all my DoW/M jobs are already 70 so i wont have the slog of grinding all my classes in Potd for levels wanting people to rush through
ill be in it for the loot, the Harder floors and Its good mendacy like Eureka

I'm with you on this one. It got me like... eh? Ok that... happened. PotD with Edda and the quests after hit my heart way more. Plus you'd see deceased NPCs and that was always interesting to me, recognizing them or checking their lines. Hoping for more story in the future or something to make the place a bit more interesting to me than what I've see up to floor 50 last night. :c
It is one thing to give "unsatisfied feedback" with rational solid feedback.
It's an another to give feedback with expectations that outlandishly over and above what SE actually said they where going to do.
Don't expect sympathy from me if people don't read the bloody information upfront in full and to the T.
It's exactly what I expected so I'm not disappointed. The QoL is much better than PotD ever was, being able to start 10 floors prior to challenge mode instead of having to slog from 51-150 before it got interesting. The large rooms shake it up a bit, and the npcs are meh. The exp rate is only going to increase as everyone gets to higher aetherpool and spams 21-30 and zergs floors with magicite and petrifaction.
It's a bit too easy if you ask me, copious amounts of magicite/petrifaction pomander significantly lower the risk of wiping. We would use a fortune + petrifaction or magicite and gain more than we used most of the time.
This is how SE does things, they don't take risks anymore after what happened with Diadem. They copy and paste with a few new additions because they already have the formula that works. I bet my hat that the next "deep dungeon" will literally be exactly the same, but with slight differences, because it works.
Except they did make meaningful improvements. The weapons aren't punishing to purchase anymore, only needing 10/10 per hilt instead of blowing 90/90 in one go for a Kinna weapon. They've also streamlined entry into challenge mode, only requiring 10 floors to get in instead of 50, which took ages. Challenge mode itself ramps up much quicker than it did in PotD, which was a snooze until you hit roughly 151, that's 100 floors before it got interesting, compared to HoH's 30 or so (21-50). Challenge mode itself is much quicker to progress through now, doubly so thanks to the new pomanders which are actually fun and interesting to use, not to mention the magicite being a free floor pass. Fewer variations of loot bags, so there's less junk to clog your inventory. Experience rate will shoot up soon as people start hitting the synced aetherpool and actually use magicite on things other than bosses, which die in less than a minute anyway.
HoH isn't perfect for sure, but it's a damn sight better than Palace ever was, anyone who doesn't think so is foolish in my opinion.
