It's my favorite FF! But yeah I bet Yasumi moved on and knows square controls too much for his creativity to really work they way he wants...I read Balthier was going to be the protagonist in XII but the higher ups changed it for him. Maybe they should hire him to do a new rpg but not named FF so he has all the freedom in creativity.
Its good to know that they at least try their hands at a survey but they could really get better at this. Some of the options did not allow me to chose more than one. For example I was not allowed to buy copies from stores for PC and consoles..
But hey maybe we get a FF14 somewhere in the future too. At least gave them this as a feedback.
Letter from the Producer LIVE Part IX Q&A Summary (10/30/2013)
Q: Will there be any maintenance fees or other costs for housing, besides the cost of the land and house?
A: In older MMOs, such as Ultima Online, there was a house maintenance fee you had to pay weekly, but in FFXIV: ARR we decided against this system. Similarly, these older MMOs also had a system where your house would break down if you didn’t log in after a while in order to have you continue your subscription, but this is a thing of the past and we won't have any system like that.
Close. It was Basch, not Balthier, who was due to be the 'eyes' of the game. It's my favorite FF! Vaan aside, I still think FFXII is one of the better Final Fantasy titles in the main series. I adore Ivalice as a setting and FFXIV being inspired by it to a large degree is one of the main reasons I made FFXIV my MMO of choice.
Most of my feedback in the survey was related to the stuff in my signature, though I did request another Ivalice game in the style of Tactics, FFXII or Vagrant Story.
I also wrote in favour of turn-based battle systems. I like being able to ruminate over the strategy of your next move. Weigh the possible outcomes, the pros and cons of what might happen if you do this versus that and thinking multiple steps ahead. Action is mostly just mindless button mashing and while it has its place in certain titles I don't feel it translated well into this particular series that has a history of tactical gameplay. Also did ProJared a solid and requested more FF Tactics titles.
At the end it links directly to the official page, and their giveaway, which also links back to the survey.
For credit on their store (free games).
There, I said it, now you have good incentive to do it, as opposed to skepticism for the sake of it (seriously, do you think playing habits are worth so much that people would want to steal it?)
"You have a heart of gold. Don't let them take it from you!"
NVM it is real. SE just set it up in the most suspicious way possible.
