Still leveling AST. Currently at 67 and whilst I'd love more Doma Castle runs, got Shisui instead of Leveling Roulette. I swear it's always either Sastasha or Shisui.
Seems to be going ok to begin with, the BLM is lovely and mana shifts me, already decided that he's getting my comm at the end of the dungeon.
Tank then tries after 1st boss to pull both guard rooms. Sudden big drop of HP to almost 1, didn't die bc they managed to pop LD in time and I set out my special regens and went on to Gravity spam as per usual.
I then look at their gear before the next pull with those archers and the captain of the guard etc.

Shire Sword. Ok.
Shire Accessories, minus one 240 Primal Ring.... Ok.
Augmented Hellfire gear. You know, the 240 stuff? In Shisui.
I point this out in chat.

This DRK was Level 69 at the time. You get guaranteed 1 item for each leveling dungeon you run.. and also: The NPC for shire gear is the same NPC for Hellfire. Seriously. I'd rather you'd replaced like, the chest instead of all your accessories......
They had an 353 SCH so I really hate that they should know the pain of healing undergeared tanks but felt it was ok to inflict on everything else. Please SE, please add ilvl requirements for leveling dungeons.

I suppose I can't say much because I have a DRK56 that's still wearing most of a suit of Ironworks with like a weapon and body from Aery, lol.

But, see, I'm not Qing up for Leveling Dungeons. I'm leveling this DRK solely on Trials Roulette, and the worst I can possibly get is Thok ast Thok which is easily do-able in Ironworks. That is, until the day comes I get dropped into Limitless Blue, lol. I don't think that's until 67 though... I might need to sift through my crap and see if I can find anything better than Ironworks.

So today I had an interesting Lakshmi normal run. Went as a PLD where I MT'd easily but that's not important.

There was a newbie and it was the WHM. She told us she was a newbie and wanted to discover the fight and its mechanics and everyone was okay with it and we told her she would be fine.

But her curiosity apparently got the best of her and...she just jumped off.

"Oh so you can fall off" she says.

Hilarity ensues where some asks with "XD" why she would do that. All I could say was "For science" before jumping off before the Bosom part.

Just to be clear when I jumped off this was just for humor's sake. OT was able to get full aggro and everything went smoothly and everyone had a fun time.

Now my Question is: Can we somehow skip Cutscenes?

Not seeing anyone comment yet, but if you disconnect/reconnect, it skips the cutscenes and allows you to continue on. I've not seen people purposely use it to speed up Nero like that, and I *really* hope it doesn't become common, because SE will end up doing something about *that* and no one will be happy with that.

The Hellfire armour does indeed come “in a box” now - it’s a reward for one of the Heavensward patch quests.

Also if they went through the game as scholar first, then they’re probably leveling through roulettes now, so they won’t have necessarily run high-level dungeons as a tank yet.

The game does still need a better warning system if your gear is unsuitable though. If not an actual lockout, then a warning or at very least a “recommended item level” in the description that people can point to when someone comes in badly undergeared.

Names will go unnamed but I had a run a few days ago with a MRD and an ACN (no I am not mistaken) in Qarn. Both of them were level 40, no jobs unlocked, and were wearing the level 15 gear you get from Hall of the Novice + the level 15 weapon.

They weren't new either despite their sprout icons- they knew exactly where to go, what to pull, how to use cooldowns, and what tablets were needed to unlock the room to the final boss. They even passed on gear upgrades. I'm very sure they wanted to be in some person's "healer horror story" post, so I guess I'm obliging them in that regard, but I wish SE would put safeguards in place to prevent that sort of thing in DF. I join groups in progress to help clear even if I have to drag everyone across the finish, but... that was a pretty borderline case. (I stayed for the BLM who was actually trying and seemed grateful for me being there keeping that marshmallow-soft tank alive.) People who don't give a rip about being a burden on their teammates shouldn't get to participate in the first place.

So that's why I've been getting a huge amount of i230 tanks in Doma Castle lately. No wonder.

Just did a Brayflox as a PLD, party was a AST, BLM, and SAM. The DPS was phenomenal, everything was nuked. The crazy part was the AST would let my HP hover around 10% at all times and then toss me a heal, it was so nerve wrecking but I loved it! Only died once to end boss who just had to many poisons on me and the DOT got me before the heal.

Ran an Alliance Roulette on my WHM last night and got World of Darkness..... ugh.... About 20% of the time, I end up with groups that just have no clue. Well anyways, we wiped about 3 times to the first boss. Not killing adds, death spell, death gaze spell, etc. Then about 75% of the alliance members all left.

After about a 10 minute backfill session, we had 23/24 members filled. The one missing member was my co-healer. The new tank I got was a DRK and this poor guy just had no clue. He must've been brand new to the dungeon and to the game. He decided that he was going to MT without any knowledge of the encounters and the result was that nearly every boss was constantly rotating and shifting while he tried to figure out where to stand. He was also that tank that would pop every single one of his CD's prior to the pull, like he was supposed to be using them on cooldown....... Something hilarious about seeing him pop shadow wall, rampart, and awareness all at once pre pull lol. So I got to solo heal him and the remainder of the party, which was better, but still had many deaths to mechanics. After this, one of the other group's tanks decided to take over, but my DRK never turned off grit and was constantly trying to provoke bosses away from the other tanks. By some miracle, we limped our way through to the end of the duty and I got 0 commendations. Nothing like completely carrying a team for no comms lol. Fun times.....

Oh boy... this was a nice experience. Finished Bardam's Mettle earlier. The White Mage who was with us, was still pretty green. Casting Cure 2 nonstop, thus running out of MP constantly. I am a patient person, or try to be when I play with other people, so I said nothing for a while. After the 4th or 5th MP break, I made a simple suggestion, asking the Healer to cast Regen on me, so he wouldn't have to cast Cure 2 on me all the time.

As soon as I entered the message into the Party Chat, they left.

Honestly, anyone who can't even handle a helpful suggestion, shouldn't be playing online games.
