Reddit - no finer place of scum and villainy....and trolling...and trash.

I refuse to go there...and when I do..its only for a few seconds at a time and in full bio-hazzard gear.
Sorry...but I can find my answer's elsewhere more easily..and the stuff I search for that end up on reddit - is useless and not at all helpful.

My apologies, I was on my mobile and it's autocorrected me. I was meant to say "And what if you'd been banned from here back in beta like so many others?" It was an attempt to bring back the thread to talking about people being banned, not what they hate about reddit. I was not meaning to threaten anything.

Absolutely agree that people will complain about being banned when they have knowingly broken rules. But, if you look through the posts I linked in the first post, there are a ton of stories also repeated in this thread. Receiving multiple bans for the same offense. Getting banned for asking a moderator to help fix their post when they realised they'd made a mistake. Getting banned for literally nothing, not even posting here. I know dozens of people personally who have had lifelong bans for things like asking why there was so much maintenance. Posting memes. Etc. There quite literally -has- been people banned for no apparent reason. And a lot of them.

It's a hypothetical question, the intent of which is to find out what recourse you would take if you were banned from the forums permanently. How would you communicate your feelings about the game to the devs? You'd lose your ability to praise and defend the game as much as give critiques about the game.

Regarding "no apparent reason"...did you read either link that was posted? The same guy got banned for the same thing four times in a row. Not repeated action, no the literal same post got him four bans. Somebody else got banned for aggression when they were literally asking people to tone their aggression down. Maybe the foolish ones aren't the ones who think the moderators are perhaps a bit triggerhappy.

What was she even banned for anyway?

I don't recall, but I do remember it was for something benign.
