I will reiterate, for the sake of not having my words bent in the future: If they add it, great for you. It won't affect how I play the game, or how much I like it. But it's a horrible precedent regardless. I will actually be horrified if I wake up one day to see half the male NPC population in Limsa, Ul'dah or Gridania wearing mini-skirts, high heels and bridesmaid dresses just because "inclusivity". It will ruin the world the lore time strove to build. Tell me that won't happen if you'd like, the OP on this thread is proving me right...

I'd be less offended by the notion if they conjured up a city-state that was all about reversed gender roles. That could be fun to explore, in fact. But it has to make sense in the game world, and I will always utterly oppose changes to the game just because your feelings are hurt.

And to those that say "I want this JUST to piss certain people off", you're no better than the trolls and bigots that would respond in kind.

With that said, that outfit looks abominable on males.

If we're judging by sexual appeal (which is fair given the type of outfit we're talking about), then it looks abominable on everyone except male Highlanders and lady Roes in my opinion. If I was grand master of XIV like some people ITT wish they were, I'd ban every other race/gender combo from wearing it just to suit my sensibilities!

As to the topic, if they add a male NPC in the outfit, cool. If not, oh well. As stated above I don't think it looks good on most people so I don't really have a stake in it. Changing existing NPCs might ruffle too many feathers -the replies at the mere idea of it in this thread alone speak to that- but if they add some new ones later that'd be fine. Apparently there are new attractions coming to the Saucer so that would be a good opportunity.

Let's be real, none of the players can deny or accept requests. It's ultimately up to the devs. You can scream as much as you want, if they don't listen...then they don't listen. (Hint: look at the PvP forum).

Fair enough. I'm not against NPCs in the gold saucer wearing it. I wouldn't mind if this was a gold-saucer event, or if it was part of a new GATE. Nor would I particularly mind if male NPCs wearing bunny suits in this area start showing up. But the principle the vast majority of people on this thread are putting forward, which to quote a few would be "just to piss people off", is a horrible reason to do -anything- and I still think it's bad precedent to do any change just because inclusivity.
