Is there a home in FXIV for the "Hardcore Endgame" Player-Type?

It's worth noting that Square does sell a main story advancement potion and character levelling potion. These 2 potions combined will advance you to lvl 60 and also advance the storyline to the beginning of the main story quest for Stormblood. This will effectively bypass several hours (likely 30+) of quest grinding and get you a lot closer to the end game if that is what you are after. You will have to pay for these, and they aren't particularly cheap, but having played the game since 2.0, I think I would definitely buy them if I had to do it all over again. The MSQ in this game is really, REALLY terrible prior to Heavensward, and they significantly below average even after that.

I’m going to quietly step in and suggest that you don’t skip past HW. It has the best storyline of the three games and, in my opinion, the best characters. Certainly you’ll get to end game faster but I don’t think it’s worth missing. There’s some pretty tough dungeons in HW too, along with one of the hardest normal mode primals. The content is good.

That being said... skipping past ARR is an option if you’re suffering (and like Tex, I did that for my second play-through so I could enjoy HW), but it is expensive. Something like 25 dollars.
