Please off "Achievements Current Are" pop

I think having it not as an option initially was on purpose. New patch, lots of new and returning people. Some achievements (like Azim Steppe FATEs (multiple)) are hard to do or even know about. If you’re reminded you haven’t done it and the zone is popular once more, you may be able to get people together to do it. I personally like the notification, didn’t realize I was only 5 turn ins from finishing up at the adders for example, might actually go and do it now!

SE, if you're going to add to or change the UI in any way at all, you absolutely must provide an option in the settings to control the visibility, or allow it to be turned off completely.

This is very basic, and it's completely unacceptable that no option to turn it off was included in this patch.

What’s infuriating is that there IS an option to supposedly turn it off:
Character Configuration > UI Settings > General > Achievements (at the very bottom)
“Display achievements nearing completion upon login.”

...except mine is unchecked, meaning that they shouldn’t show when I log in (much like I don’t want Recommendations showing), yet they still do. Actually make this function work as its supposed to, AND give us an option to disable the Notice pop-up when we zone into an area that has incomplete achievements. Some of us work on these on our own time, and others just downright don’t care. I’m fine with the feature being there, but let me control if I want to see it or not.

Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but mine hasn't popped up very often at all. I only saw it at the Gold Saucer and in Idyllshire.

If you already did all the achievements in the area that would have triggered it, it doesn't show up.

This is annoying because it looks like a ready check when really it's not.

Or an LS invite. I actually thought it was one until I noticed the absurdly short timer.

But there are different letters on it. And the color is different, too.

That option is for a bubble on the bottom right that lasts for 30 seconds when you log in (just like the new current area achievement bubble.) Having it checked gets rid of the more annoying login popup box.

Personally I'm a fan of it but I'm shocked there isn't an option to turn it off.
