man i Wish i cba to tear this dumb tank a new one but... undergeared tank in bardam's mettle who thinks they can go into deliverance, use one cd per pull and survive getting torn apart. we die... a lot bc it got to a point where i just couldn't keep up with the hard hitting damage they were taking. then they blame me?? for not healing?? and when i tell them to use cds they say something like "i'm not going to blow all my cds on trash pulls!" i didn't ask them to, but maybe do ur part so u sustain less damage?? granted they were horribly rude, barely used cds while in deliverance and did i mention he was undergeared...? he'll be on my blist until next maintenance.

Just had an interesting Mentor Roulette in Kugane Castle, with a WAR, SAM, and SMN. When we popped in the tank hesitated for the longest after I cast Protect, not sure what they were doing but whatever, before popping on Deliverance and sprinting off, pulling everything with their face. I instantly had alarms ringing in my head when he was constantly big pulling and losing hate to me (AST so healing a squishy tank) and the other DPS, but decided to stick it out until the end.

Along the way the WAR would stance dance to Defiance for bosses, but go right back to Deliverance for big pulls, causing a lot of unnecessary aggro loss and extra healing, making everything take much longer than usual. The SAM was ok in performance, and the SMN was doing very well which resulted in her stealing most of the aggro, and me stopping to keep both the squishy tank and SMN alive, resulting in some close calls but no deaths thank goodness.

What was baffling was there weren't using any level 70 skills, no Inner Release, and frequently spammed Storm's Eye even though it wasn't close to falling off. Considering they only had one class to 70 and a SAM at 66 I figured they might not know just yet how to use their skills, so at the end of the run I decided to give some constructive criticism:



Could I have been more polite? Probably. Should I have been clearer in my first post? Yeah, and I realize it now. Did it warrant their FC friend being insulting? Not at all. They both left before I could finish giving my advice and left me with a sour taste in my mouth.

Discrimination aside, it would have been nice to have actually explained my point but I wanted them to at least see that I wanted to say something and to actually help, rather than fellow player dissolving into petty insults and running out with their friend, ignoring the fact I may have wanted to divulge more.

This is why I sometimes hate being a Mentor, I wanna give advice but it usually ends along the lines of "well you're a big meanie! I play how I want, also [insert insult here]".

It's Qarn hard. The first pack is 10 steps away. You're already at the first pack when you load in.

Got fractal hard for expert roulette with my bf on WAR. we had a sam and ast. most of it just went fine, which was fine by me since i was exhausted after a hellish week at work, and then the sam popped up in chat with this

i dunno, just made my day. it's nice to post something good for once. not sure if A Y if you're on this thread at all but thanks for the fun run =)

Lol, I regularly out DPS people in Expert runs with my bottom of the barrel RDM, but only ever get the occasional commendation by way of thumbs up. It's definitely nice when your effort is recognized!

That awkward moment when Mentor Roulette gets you into Praetorium and it is legit faster and more productive to take the penalty than complete the dungeon.

Oh well, I guess at least one DPS that said he queued for the wrong roulette had a free pass to freedom once I was out.

Reminds me of the time that another BLM complimented me in Chadarnook Normal for giving him a run for his money since he claimed that no other BLM came even close towards him in damage. It made me feel good about knowing my own rotation soundly enough to be an aggro threat buddy. Both him and myself were fighting for #2 on the enmity list.

Why is it that some casters will aggressively take up seat upon your face for entire fights when you're a melee DPS; all while refusing to move- unless to follow you- during a boss that throws constant yet movable damage-heavy aoes on top of players?
And then demand you to lb while simultaneously dropping their overlapping aoes straight into your unwelcoming arms?
Can you not be a turret somewhere else that doesn't involve intertwining our squishy bodies? If not for me, at least so the healer can breathe for a moment.

No the thing that made me raise my eyebrow the most?

The summoner used physick like 3 times in a row during the final boss after Genbu's barrier went down. I mean performance-wise the party was very solid (other than SMN eating 2 dashes in a row during second boss and dying). Now forgive me if I'm mistaken but isn't physick on summoner kind of useless by every stretch of the imagination ;p?

3 casts of Physick as a SMN is just a waste of 3 innocent GCD. Poor GCD.
