Because, when you tell a story, you tell as many details as you can. Not just pieces of it. By no means I was asking that to justify the guy, but posting a random line without any context, can be misleading at best. The chatlog alone wasn't providing any information of what was actually going on. As an example: Say I tell that to a friend as a joke, then someone else come here post it. Then I get flammed because one would think whatever about it.

True, context helps, but basically telling someone to go die isn't something you can just "joke about" in what basically amounts to public chat - even if that had been directed at an FC mate and in jest, someone might have taken it seriously and reported it, which is likely a minimum of a warning, even for a joke. Save that for FC chat, Discord, or a private group (with only friends). Heck, if I'd been in that party, I'd have reported that.

He called me a DPS because that was the highest job I had on that alt, a 60 DRG. He looked up my character info and thought...well, I'm not sure what he thought. He was in a lot of pain. If my highest job had been a tank, it would've made a little more sense, but...yeah, dude was in pain.

As for the pull itself, there was absolutely no question, it was not a facepull, or a buttpull, it was a mis-target by the Arcanist, I know because the Arcanist got hit and I had to heal them up, and again, the tank's in pain AND playing tired, so he just couldn't see it properly, but like...here's this angry dude with a migraine going off on a tear, the last thing I wanna do is point at the poor little sprout who still has their Carby punting mobs around with their knockback attack, and say "THAT GUY DID IT." And as for telling him I couldn't help him with his problem, I was still waiting to hear what the problem actually was at that point, because he didn't tell me until the last possible moment before we opened the treasure chest after Denn the Orcatoothed died. Frankly, I'm surprised I could type at all, my heart was pounding, my face was getting hot, and it wasn't until I was standing back in Limsa that I realized I'd been holding my breath. x_x I.....I don't handle stress well....

I am known to be blunt and harsh at times, so this may not be new to some here that know me.

My view is keep RL out of ingame, treating people like garbage because something happened in rl is no excuse. Lots of things happen to me, and people in random DFs wont get snapped on because of it. I doono how others feel, but I got a story myself from someone on what happens when people get more outspoken. (Though I do admit she did get legit mad, just did not have as drasic effect on you. I wouldn't mind if others chime in giving advice handing this situation better but keep in mind her personality, has no problems with guiding new people but same time no tolerance to BS)

So hells 's lid, the current expert.
First pull of 3, notices it dying slow, goes to figure out why and sees the BLM is spamming fire IV. Friend checks gear to get a clue who she may be speaking to (if the person was in i300 for example, would been a lot more soft in explaining what to do) Saw them have an i370 current savage weapon. So knowing this person should know the ropes of the game, especially the basics, felt saying something short would get the point across. (I notice you doing wrong things and you should know better and I noticed)

So they continue with the whm flipping out at this person. So this is largely ignored, advice giver ignoring them. BL was still solely ST at the second pull, after the pit with the 4 walls part. In between CDs the "advice giver" said something about planing to vote kick and the reason why (grief tactics for the blm, and verbal harassment from the healer)
WHM still mouthing off at this person I know though discord while they kicked the BLM, WHM mouths off more then leaves on their own.

Don't wanna show the exact log since it is me but I need to ask people here, is it really elitist to ask a savage gear BLM to do aoe rotations???????

While that's true, apparently you can't report a person if the insult isn't directed to you. At best, the GMs will advice you to BL that player. Only the affected person will be able to report them and get the GM's attention for that case in particular for punishment purposes. :/

Qued for expert as WHM. Got a PLD, RDM, and forgot the other DPS, but I think it was a melee. Anyway, people say hello and the run goes smoothly....until after the first boss. A healer belt dropped, and I know I needed to gear my retainer with better stuff, so I Needed on it. A couple seconds after I got it, the RDM starts saying I'm rude for needing on gear i didn't really 'need'. i told them that I needed it for my retainer, but he kept bitching at me the whole run. He was insisting I was a rude person irl and ingame, because of...Needing on an item? He didn't even say he needed healer gear at all before I rolled. He had the chance to do as we entered the dungeon. i could have passed on it, but no, I wouldn't because of how he was acting toward me. I needed on all the healer gear just to spite him, because I was irritated.

Not at all.

You aren't obligated to pass because someone else wants something even if you simply intend to turn it in for Company Seals. If the RDM wants it so bad, go run on healer and need. The fact he didn't even ask beforehand makes this his own fault.

I've been running Shisui a bit on my SAM as I'm levelling it up, and during one of my runs last night I got partied with a WHM, a WAR, and a SMN. Plenty of AOEs to go around, so this should be smooth as silk, or at least that's what I thought.At the 2 mob pull before the second boss, I'm bottomed out on TP and things aren't dying as fast as I'm used to... then I notice what's wrong.

There's no Bio or Miasma DOTs of any sort on the mobs... and as I look at the SMN, they're just spamming Ruin II. It was their first time in Shisui so I guess they were fairly new, but how do you get to level 63 without learning to apply your DOTs? They did start using them a bit more often after I told them that they wanted to keep them up as often as possible, but it was still really strange...

Got Castrum Abania in a leveling roulette today and it felt so slow. I was tanking. I had a Monk who kept pushing adds away from me, a White Mage who didn't want to wait for everyone to catch up so we could DPS the the containers holding the Hypertuned adds TOGETHER, and a Bard in lvl 60 gear.

I rode it out and we finished with the timer somewhere in the 54:00 minute. I won't lie and say it was the worst run I ever had, but It's been a while since I had an annoying one.

Not always the case, seen people with mulitply 70's and also played for years doing the same thing.

Wow, I did leveling roulette on tank and got one of the most stuck up healers you could ever get.

So the barrier goes down in aery and the healer stands around for a solid 10+ seconds. I am still waiting for protect. Fairy still isn't out yet (SCH). So I ask: Protect? And a few seconds later: Fairy?. They respond saying "Their bar is messed up" to paraphrase it, profanity was used.

Protect WAS used and we got underway but I did single pulls noticing something was wrong. They werent healing me, at all. This didnt kill me until the pulls after the first boss. I even used hallowed ground. They used physick so I know they can use it on me but they never did. Once I die they then use it on the dps monks. I say thusly:

(Me) Some heals would be nice
(Ultros SCH) why when you sassed me b****?
(Me) Sassed? Expecting basic role functions is sassing?

So let me get this straight... Asking for protect and for their fairy is basically giving them a hard time? Expecting a healer to heal is sassing? Are people honestly this stu... oh forget it the answer is yes otherwise it wouldn't happen. Fastest penalty I ever took.
