I can think of four gather bots that are regularly active, and another four or so who are less consistent.

There's nearly as many crafting bots though, and their presence on the marketboard is pretty obvious.

Dunno how bad that is compared to other servers, though.

We aren’t allowed to name them publicly on the forum; that’s grounds for an immediate ban. However, a lot of people on Cactuar are aware of the botters, and know who they are. There are talks about them in the Novice Network frequently, and it just takes a glance at the consumables market to see.

That being said, botting on the MB aside, Cactuar is a very nice server. I’ve been here since I started playing in 2015, and have no intentions to leave. It has a very good Hunt scene that do a very good job of not tolerating any trolling with regards to Hunts, are courteous to wait for S ranks, and is relatively midcore. You can find just about anything on Cactuar.

I been in NN since it was a thing and havent heard anything save for the occasional rmt that people mention. "Although some people are dumb and think that people who sell items on the mb for 999999999 gil are bots and not real people taking advantage of more inventory space via the mb. It's funny some think people who buy stuff off the mb that was posted at 234 gil but, vendors for 949 gil, and re sell it for a profit are bots." - My quote to the other person still applies here.

Stating that they were lying at first then asking for proof after indicates that you either know with 100% certainty that they're lying (which requires you to prove that the entire server is free from botters) or you know they're not but you have some ulterior motives.

You probably don't walk around much in low level zones, like central Thanalan near Steps of Thal entrance. A while ago, a bunch of leveling bots that were there face pulled an S rank because it spawned at their farming location and people thought it was early pulled and killed it (How did we know they were bots?? They were using teleportation hacks and they would pass the map's invisible walls). Also, the other posts regarding MB bots are not referring to those with 9999999 prices or those below vendors, but those who create stuff at a humanly impossible rate all the time.

Did you get it on video? ALT+F9 is shadowplay and ps4 has a 1 button record feature. Screenshot? I go to low levels often for GC and Squadrons. It's been about 5 months or longer since I have seen an rmt in shout.
