Here we speak about SE, and FFXIV
I continue to play WoW and have other thing to say against wow, but not the subject here. If wow dies due to silly decision, it is blizzard/wow matter. not SE's. If FFXIV dies, it is SE matter.

You know, i didnt want to play FFXV, and didnt intend to buy deus ex in preorder. Why do i speak about these? i speak to clearly show that it is not a FFXIV matter but a SE matter.
Why i dont say against namco, EA, and i dont know what else? as said, here my matter is FFXIV and SE, and more... it is SE/namco/else customer matter. if they applause such decision, it is their matter, not mine... i will say "oh, stupid decision from EA, one more" ... ok but i want make the world burn due to stupidity of a company i dont care...

Ppl hate microtransactions because of their effect on any game not just because it's a direct problem for them.
I haven't bought battlefront 2, I despise COD, I have no plans of buying shadow of war, but what was done in those game irritates me in the same measure that it would irritate me on this one.
However I'm not snarkly saying too little too late like most ppl have done regarding WB removing the market for the orcs, because while beign a shitty move to add it in the first place since it was against the philosophy of the game, admitting one's failure is always a bold move and something that should be encouraged not shunned.

Also my rant was directed more about so called consumer advocates who more and more speak for their own gains instead of battles they really believe in.
Deus ex was released in 2016, the year before him Tales of zestiria was released with a similar pre order scheme, yet no video from jim sterling and even totalbiscuit about how terrible it was (and believe I respect TB opinions, but he coevered deus ex pre order because he is a big fan of the franchise) Frankly I also remember that I asked why, nothing was said about namco bandai's policy on preorders but my question was not answered (Well DUH I'm a nobody).

Completely lost faith? No, I still have hope SE will listen to people's grievances and change their minds regarding the freemium currencies and microtransactions. I have to say it is disheartening to see the slippery slope becoming more and more slippery over the years. As someone that highly prefers sub based games because I don't want to deal with microtransactions I'm considering cancelling my sub over it. At the very least i'm going to take a break on the 24th when Battletech releases and think it over. Don't really want to quit, but I won't support something that can easily lead to worse and worse things down the line. Better to make a stand now and quit while the memories are still fond than continue playing and getting bitter and angry over everything.

As far as Eureka goes I think it needs more things to do besides fight the same mobs over and over or follow the nm train. Though the community inside is what makes the whole affair tolerable while I go about getting all my armors and weapons.

1) Why should i cry against all publisher on this forum. I dont make logn post about how much SE is draining people when i am on BDO, WoW or other forum. And when i am here i dont cry against WoW and there shitty titanforge (for example) because not the place


2) i find all those shit are bad. The wow cash shop, the P2W in archeage (and i dont intend playing this...) or the way namco makes pay more and more in SF. Why i dont speak about archeage or namco? I cant go in all fight. I dislike ALL those things, and most of time, this is the reason i dont become customer. But Who am i, me, that dont want to play those game, to speak against? I already say i dislike all, i didnt give them the first step of money (buying the game). If their own customers dont care it is no more my matter.
My way to fight against P2W, cash shop in sub MMORPG, and other supicious way companies are using, it is in the game i play.

Maybe if tomorrow i become streamer, or go open a channel on youtube, i would do stream/videos to say the way ALL those irritates me. But

1) for now, as a simple gamer and customer, my place is to speak against what i dislike in the game i play. and choosing the game i play with my way to think on this subject (so... not tomorrow i will buy an EA game... )

2) on SE forum i speak about SE, on FFXIV forum i speak about FFXIV. and on BDO forum i speak about kakao/pearlabyss/BDO.
I wont say how much there should be more way to get free minions in BDO on FF forum, and i wont say on BDO forum how stupid the FFXIV app will be.

So yes, i speak and cry against the thing that affect the game i plays, not other games. yes... i dont have time to be part of all fight.
Not because i dont cry on FFXIV forum against battlefront or the latest cash shop stupidity in GW2 that i think no matter (GW2 did a loot box with 30 different mount, ok cool you sure to get a mount, but if you want one speciffically you are fucked... stupid, i neverplayed this game, but when my friend did speak about those now dead lootbox, i laughed from this stupidity...)

SE is not a "japanese EA". I troll when i say this directly.
BUT i really think SE is on the same road. This is why i do this fight there. Just EA is many kilometers ahead on this road (yes, EA and others are worse)


I speak more, cry more also for other reason : i love FF games (even if FFXII was the last i bought, but not only because of game... i clearly play less solo game now than before) i love what square enix was. Hate and love is close right?
I speak more now that i did for RMAH in D3, or cash shop appearence on the 2 MMORPG i did prefer for now in my life. (and... i already said, and will never stop saying it : Blizzard did open this pandora's box. probably SE wouldnt need this to open it themselves, BUT blizzard did it... but it wont help FFXIV to say this)



I am now clearly thinking on stopping my two subscriptions (and loosing the house even if yoshida said "these older MMOs also had a system where your house would break down if you didn’t log in after a while in order to have you continue your subscription, but this is a thing of the past and we won't have any system like that.")
But i have, and will ever have hope to see Square Enix returning in a "moral" way. Who knows?

So, right now the main reason I am still playing is because I somehow got roped into leading a weekly event in my guild (even though this time I PROMISED myself I wasn't going to get involved in anything) and I can't just up and leave.

But, there's so much wrong with this game it's hard to love it. Housing is still awful and unavailable, it causes people to fight over content, the dungeons are more of the same... dull dancing, the story in this xpac is some of the laziest lazarus writing I've ever seen and I've spent DAYS reading law and order fanfiction... I just don't know who they are making this game for anymore. It's not their fans. It's not the patch jumping raider crowd. It's not the super hard core throwup the next morning after fighting AV for 20+ hours.

They need to identify their playerbase and then work from there. I don't even recognize what this game is supposed to be anymore.

I’m not going to lie, they’ve really been up to some shady practices lately with this paid transactions app, the growing mog shop content, a 17 month delayed copy pasted diadem 4.0, virtual elimination of the official translation for the live letter for the English speaking community, and the rampant botting...

I’m not losing faith in $E as a company, but I have little faith that the culmination of these practices will continue to keep this game in a flourishing state.

Eureka I understand. They wanted to give people who played FINAL FANTASY XI something similar that still worked in FINAL FANTASY XIV. I'm pretty okay with it, as long as they improve things from here on.

But the FINAL FANTASY XIV Companion app? Absolutely no way do I support that.

I'm definitely getting there to losing faith in SE. There's still a shred left they'll listen and nix the premium app but honestly at this point they don't really listen to the na community. Only thinks holding to 14 are my friends and a character I've had since 1.0. That's a hell of a lot of time invested and I'd hate to throw it away by quitting.

FFXIV is a pay to play MMO with a monthly sub. The mog station is not the end of the world for sure but is also not acceptable, in special when you compared it to other similar games: WoW, for example, has a system that allows anyone to buy any cash shop item, paid services or even a future expansion.

I feel like you're doing this comparison a disservice when you don't mention the other side of the coin related to WoW - yes, you can buy any cash shop item, paid service, or future expansion with in-game gold in WoW.

But you can also be the one buying and selling the items (tokens) that are bought with that in-game gold, and to do that you're spending real money.

They've legalized RMT in their game. Don't forget that when using it as a comparison.

You think getting an extra transaction that can easily lose its advantage to just a couple others playing the game is bad? Try getting a couple hundred thousand gold a pop for about twenty bucks whenever you feel like it.
