All Greed on Alliance loot

And I just wonder why they couldn't do that with a far more user friendly token system instead.

I didn't like having to go in with a low iLvL job just for the loot priviledges either, it needlessly gimped the group, but why on earth do they have to stick with this RNG loot system? It's annoying. They can just tune the amount of tokens needed to the desired amount of runs if they're desperate to get people to repeat it.

Not everything needs to be handed on a silver platter, it kinda defeats the point of replaying something.
While the greed thing is problematic from a point of wiew, the rewards itself are problematic, since honestly by the time a 24 man comes out you can have 2-3 jobs equipped with tome gear, more so if you have been doing savage, now let's add that eventually they'll lift the lockout of savage during 4.38 probably and you have the problem of a weekly gear that is inferior to tomestones because it cannot be upgraded AND completely overshadowed by savage without lockout to the drops AND the tokens.
Now we add a worse drop system to this for those that are interested which makes the place kinda problematic to run.

24 Man rewards structure needs improvement in some way and we should actually tell the dev team that by forcing 24 man rewards beign static in this way WHILE the rewards around it are changing in some way or form, will incur in greater problem eventually.
We are in 2018, Labyrinth beign delayed shouldn't be holding us back anymore

Eh, it's a good move, not players can play their best job without having to use a lesser IL job to get the piece they want.

Now Tanks/Healers can go as Tank/healers but lot on another piece of gear they want.

If you dont want to tank something, why do you need to gear up a tank?

With this change someone can just go in there as a DD, barely do something and get the tank chest, that the tank who probably had a way longer wait time and a way harder job may have needed to gear his main job..how is that fair?

Well, this might be one of the most wtf worthy changes they have done yet. It's hard enough to get the piece you want to actually drop in these runs, let alone having to compete with up to 7 gorram people for it.

If you want the item, go as the gorram job or don't bother going IMO.

I also foresee this really screwing tanks over the most as well, they already have ungodly long queue times for them as it is.

I hope that the "all greed" thing is a mistranslation. What they should have done is the following:

1. Make 2 gear pieces drop from the Crystal Tower raids. This should have been a thing since the Alliance Raid Roulette was released.

2. Chest do not drop duplicate gear pieces. Example: You should not see 2 Void Ark Belt of Casting.

If I were to guess, it's an option for when people form 24 man raids themselves. I really couldn't picture them making this a thing for DF groups. If that IS the case however...it might be one of the worst decisions they'd ever make. No thanks.

Just throwing in my two gil. I'm also opposed to this.... most alliance raids are simply for glamour purposes (and catching up but lets be real..mostly glamour) and because of how it takes 3 groups, it can take a long time to run the raid multiple times. This means that getting the glamour you want is going to take much longer.... and I'm of the opinion that if you want something for a tank, then freaking run it as a tank. This just makes the incentive for tank/healer classes even lower. At least before everyone only had like 1 or 2 people rolling against them if everything was balanced.

Really hope they rethink this one.

One thought to make the competition somewhat easier is to have friends to tag along with and call dibs on which piece of gear that each is seeking; friends are willing to compromise more than the random players from Duty/Raid Finder. They be lyin' sometimes when they say they don't need the item; you look at the chat box and discover that those sneaky gremlins rolled for that item thinking no one will notice =___________=

I mean, is alliance raid gear anything other than glamour really... If you need ilv, its not hard to get by other means
