Where did the Lalafell hate originate?

I don't know about in game hate but I know people who won't touch any game with races like a lala claiming the game is for pedophiles.

Chances are they wouldn't bloody play it. They're called SJWs. And I'm going to be straight up, I like Lalafells solely because they're cute. But I'm not gonna go diddle a kid just because I play a shorty in an online game. That wouldn't be pedophilia anyway. I'm 16.

They aren't SJWs but discussing that seems to be missing the mark. I'm just trying to answer the question of why there is perceived hate towards this particular race beyond any normal dislike for a specific race someone might have. It is an out of game element that might be effecting attitudes in game

I personally don't mind them as a race. I don't find them cute so much as amusing. Except Krile. She requires hugs at all times. The only race I tend to dislike is the Au Ra. Just not a fan of their look.
