Bunny outfits for men, not a cryptid!

I don't normally post on the forums but aren't most people upset when SE makes male outfits look different from their female counterparts? I remember a thread dedicated to that and with the spring pants [I do think that was the item anyway] so they might have felt it wasn't really needed to change them since people just wanted that outfit for males?

I don't really care about this outfit one way or another, but I think at least some were expecting something more than copy/pasting it from one gender to the other considering the time it took for it to actually happen. They made it sound as though it'd be different, and it wasn't.

We don't, but the fact that we've been waiting 2 years for what is essentially a copy and paste is rather disappointing even when you were expecting less.

I'm pointing out to those like alimdia the faulty logic of equating the low effort put into this, a low priority side project, with the effort put into other areas (also the faulty logic in the apparent belief that because a community doesn't like a design that it means they were lazy/put low effort into that design). That was the fourth post in this thread for cripes sake, trying to make such a tenuous leap of logic.

That logic in itself is faulty. Just because it's a low priority side project doesn't mean it needs to be an after-thought. This was obviously put in place to try and silence the masses who wanted it, and shows that they refused to invest the resources necessary for it or even to get what the community really wanted. Just in the recent interview put up Yoshi P keeps saying about so many things "we couldn't allocate the resources for this, for that", and it feels like they didn't have the resources needed but they went with it anyway. That's why people are upset and displeased.

tl;dr low priority side project does not equate something that can be low quality. But that's what this feels like.

Honestly, they labelled it as being different from the female outfit but after all this time, all this waiting for us who love our male characters...we have this? I'm close to never coming back, they don't listen to what we say, they just see our mouths moving and choose whatever words they want.

I really don't know what to say about this, i mean I expected to be a bit more different maybe? I can't be angry at all because it's going to be finally available for the males but i'm just disappointed since people been waiting for this and me since 3.0 and we are getting this. Did they really work on this for 2 years? But anyway at least they giving us this service finally after all these 2 years i guess i shouldn't complain at the slightest now.

Wait... so I have a few questions for some of the people complaining here. I would love some answers if anyone doesn't mind because right now I don't understand. Going to take you through my train of thought.

First off you wanted bunny outfits for men - cool, I don't play a male character at all but I wouldn't want to stand in anyone's way so long as their requests don't negatively impact my gameplay.

Next you (as a collective) made this request the undisputed poster child for gender glam equality - this is in people's signatures, this is brought up in any discussion about female characters having more glam options. People always say "unlock everything! It's already in the game, can't be much work!"

Now you've gotten the thing you've requested, that's great! I mean better late than never, right?

But now you're unhappy that the glam is the same as the female glam. So, like, equal. Almost like they took the "it's already in the game I don't see what's so hard about it!" at face value.

So now... the thing so many people preached isn't actually good enough?

Wait, these bunny suits aren't masculine enough for you? I hate to be offensive but for Hydalen's sake they are casino lingerie how masculine did you think they'd be?

If SE had taken the briefs and made them shorts people would complain about the men being more covered up. If they'd done away with the heels for plain black boots there would be people offended SE didn't think men could wear heels.

I just don't think SE could win. They gave you guys the most requested thing apart from Viera and you're conplaining about it. How? Why not be grateful?
