Poll says a lot about how passive the 'community' is - they'll really just take whatever SQEX spits at them.

I mean, the only other option is to quit playing. I personally just decided not to participate in this content, which probably won't amount to much since a lot of people who also don't like the content are still at least participating in it. To be fair, though, I never fully completed any of the other relics either. Too much monotonous grinding, hard to stay committed when it's so much more fun/entertaining/easier to get better weapons from raids/trials.
Had they made Diadem focused on a relic weapon, I'm quite sure Diadem would have been accepted. it is, after all, essentially the same thing.
Conversely, if Eureka didn't have relic attached to it, it would probably already be dead.
It was indirectly involved with the Anima step. Pterodactyl is a material required to craft an item needed for the Anima. You can buy it with Scrips, but you can also Gather it in Diadem.
The Anima step overall was pretty stupid back then.
I liked that step back then. It was a bit long but it gave me a reason to do something that nothing else did : Create a team of very different players from my FC where a group worked towards a common goal.It was indirectly involved with the Anima step. DoW/M escorted DoL in Diadem, who then gives materials to DoH, who created specialist items for DoW/M.
We even spend some of our FC funds to make sure our crafters and gatherers have the best gear to facilitate every step...
