I'm made so many new friends this week playing in Eureka. All the hate seems to be isolated to the forums.... Its fun content.

And I had instances full of people moaning about this content and disliking it. Someone even said that this gives him brain cancer. So both can happen. Just because you had positive experiences does not mean that its just isloated to the forum and just because I had negative ones does not mean that nobody find it fun. But lets not pretend that everyone likes it ingame.
I agree with you. The story line of the relic was never that big but still interesting, especially the HW one. To see the new soul inside the weapon grow and become a part of our friends at the end, to see Gerolt and the other NPCs interaction was great. Our character also had some great reactions. Yet here Gerolt is nothing but a ventor..its like they forgot to tell a story as soon as we set foot on Eureka. There are no special cutscenes between each step, just a bland exchange of items. I am not sure if there is at least something at the last step but I kinda doubt it..
The same can be said about Kriles part of the story. Outside of Eureka was still kinda interesting but as soon as we got inside Krile was nothing more than a quest giver that told us to got there and get something back. They could have given us at least one more scene after each quest. Maybe the other lala reports back in and gives us some informations or other NPCs. And after lvl5 you have such a huge gap with the next being lvl 13 and seemingly after that lvl 17..Sadly I will probably never finish her story because that would mean that I have to reach 20..sad how such an old question from ARR turned into this barebone quest line.
So imo both questlines suffered by being in the same place..and its sad.![]()

Letter from the Producer LIVE Part IX Q&A Summary (10/30/2013)
Q: Will there be any maintenance fees or other costs for housing, besides the cost of the land and house?
A: In older MMOs, such as Ultima Online, there was a house maintenance fee you had to pay weekly, but in FFXIV: ARR we decided against this system. Similarly, these older MMOs also had a system where your house would break down if you didn’t log in after a while in order to have you continue your subscription, but this is a thing of the past and we won't have any system like that.
