What choices, exactly? Kill trash or camp FATEs (although really, they're more like "SS" rank hunts that get marked on your map like FATEs)? There's no quests, no dailies, no dungeons, no roulettes...People wanted to farm the relic with repetitive stuff such as FATE grind, dungeon grind, primals grind etc... I find Eureka more entertaining, since it let's you choose how you want to level up. And as you level up, things gets a lot easier and the farm becomes faster exponentially.
If anything, you get way more of a "choice" with traditional leveling in this game.
EDIT to respond to things from the future because yay absurd post limits.
Duh, I know that. The quests still don't give you any exp (on account of them not really being *quests*)That's because you're too used to "talk to an NPC, he tells you to go there and do that" content, with everything marked on the map.
In Eureka you have to find it and explore the map to continue the Eureka quest (there's a quest, you know) to keep leveling up your elements.
Regardless of whether you think it's WoW-esque or not, quests for exp is a pretty standard thing in this game that is not present in Eureka, and it limits the options for leveling progression whether you'd like to admit to that or not.
Please don't treat me like I have no goddamn clue what I'm doing; I've done nearly every quest in the game, including all those ones that don't necessarily hold your hand throughout.
And all I'm reading here is that you'll only treat opinions that fall in line with yours as valid. These kinds of people weren't fun to "debate" with as a kid, and they still aren't any fun to "debate" with now.Nope. All I'm reading here are excuses from people who still didn't understand how leveling up works, and I'll never accept excuses as opinions.
People have already pointed out that the level of your healer basically doesn't matter, because it doesn't impact their ability to heal at all and your HP values never change in Eureka, so as long as they never get hit by anything their performance is pretty much unaffected (a pretty big balance design flaw, as far as I'm concerned)You can join higher level parties. We had a lvl3 Scholar yesterday and we were all lv 8-9
The only way you'll be getting into a level 8-9 party as a level 3 DPS or tank is as a mooch.
