"all tanks"?hmm.Well we certainly had different experiences as all tanks in my party would sometimes die if we had too many aggros. We couldn't just AoE everything down, we had to CC. We were fighting mobs 3,4-5 levels higher above us and reaching chain 30. I don't even know if they were appropriately using the elemental wheel.as I saw some were utterly.confused by it. so idk
Didn't your healers heal? Or were the tanks just bad?

What, you don't like getting sparklers en masse?I'm not sure if anybody mentioned it, but do people realize that there are lootboxes with random rewards? They were prominent in palace already, but they still keep doing it despite all the controversies. So low EXP, mindnumbing grind without any changes to accelerate combat (if they got rid of gcd and made it a dynasty warrior-type gameplay, people might have been happier) and rare boss spawns that instakill you and drop lootboxes....I'm just happy it is entirely skippable and not representative of the rest of the game...

Sparklers are the sprays of FF14 lootboxes :-D

I think I will stick to doing extreme or savage raids and dungeons which seem to have more enjoyment and more of a reason to do them :P
I tried to like it. I really did, been in there several hours last night and today, got up to Level 6.
But it's just so mind-numbingly boring. I can't deal with it anymore. They could have done so much with an area like this. Why aren't there optional/daily quests to help things along? Why can't we go treasure hunting in Eureka like outside, with the chance of getting crystals? These are just ideas off the top of my head that could make it at least a little more engaging. The NMs are probably the best part, but when it comes down to it, there's no variation on FATEs, it's just recycled mob mechanics we've seen hundreds of times before.
I really wish I could switch off my brain and find some kind of chill in the grind but I can't. I loved FFXI to death, I'm not against grinding, but when it's just this monotonous and the rewards are so lackluster, it's just not justifiable for me personally.
Guess I'm just skipping doing a relic this time. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Hmm, would really like to see some feedback from Yoshi-P on this... not sure how other players around the world feel about Eureka. I was personally looking forward to this content ever since it was mentioned
, like everyone else, however I am not quite sure what the development concept was surrounding how Eureka has been implemented.
I currently sub FFXI and the idea of camping/pulling mobs to camp, with a standard party (in this case eight player) isn't an alien concept; nor is the grinding aspect an alien concept... however and historically speaking, so far, FFXIV ARR/Heavensword/Stormblood have all been established in such a way that the grind aspect in this particular form has not really been applied.
Perhaps during the basic introduction to this content and before going live, the devs should have spent some time explaining this very basic aspect of the game play--at least to ensure that everyone was of the same understanding of what they would be getting into. Perhaps this was known(?)that there would be such a public backlash of this type based on it's release... I'm not sure.
What I would hope is not imminent is the rapid demise of this content (similar to what happened with the initial release of the Diadem)and subsequent re-release and decline of the revised version of the Diadem...needless to say, its difficult to entice players back to content that has left a lasting bad taste in their mouths.
I think some action should happen and soon from a Development standpoint to address this hemorrhage.![]()
