Please provide solid proof this is the roulette's intended purpose. The only declared intent for Mentor roulette is to be like any other roulette and that is to fill queues, in this case specifically ones whose queues haven't popped in a while. That's paraphrasing from the patch notes the roulette was introduced in. Anything else is people's inflated expectations. You can be a Mentor well off enough without having the roulette unlocked, further supporting the roulette's detachment from that part of the mentor's role. And you know what? Yeah, telling someone "this content isn't meant to be pugged, watch a video and put together a PF that won't disband after the first half-a wipe" is sadly pretty solid advice, no matter how much people frown on it. I don't bail on an ex trial unless others have and it seems like we won't be filling, but most of the extreme trials I was in as part of the mentor roulette did not end in success, and not because of a lack of effort on the part of the mentors who braved through it. So when the sprouts are the ones to initiate the vote abandon after the mentor explained things thrice, who's in the wrong here? Difference is, if you have a PF you can just go back in there after the timer ran out or someone's gear broke. Pugs? Less so.
Funny, looks like a pretty even divide to me.Because the answer is obvious....to most people at least.

Currently no on is throwing a fit but you.
I'm simply advocating for the removal of high level content that most of the player base can't handle, synced or unsynced.
Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]

People can handle this content just fine. Sure, some people can't, but I'd hardly say that applies to most of the player base. You are over exaggerating a bit and are trying to paint a large swathe of the player base as incompetent. Simply not true.
This is stupid... there's a huge ass thread about the general player base needing to get better and yet people are calling to remove content that can help players get better? You're a mentor... you chose to be a mentor... suck it up or drop the crown... I think any mentor who abandons a duty or initiates a disband during a mentor roulette should be stripped of mentorship status
No you get the wrong idea man. The OP is the guy that needs to improve. He just thinks he's good cuz he filled some easy conditions for a crown. This is stupid... there's a huge ass thread about the general player base needing to get better and yet people are calling to remove content that can help players get better? Yes, but the people who don't learn out to tank swap after 45 mins in Ifrit EX are definitely not the problem. Or the healers who can't keep people alive. Nope, its definitely the mentor doin something wrong.

People routinely fail Ifrit Ex, Ramuh Ex, Leviathan Ex, Thordan Ex, Sophia Ex, Sephirot Ex, Nidhogg Ex, UNSYNCED. I'm not painting them as incompetent. I'm saying Extreme Content wasn't designed for the casual playerbase, that is factually accurate.
Heck, there are people who still get knocked off of Titan Hard mode, who can't beat the Sanuwa (sp) Snakes in Bismark Normal due to bad dps.

Such people will ALWAYS exist, but either A. you have terrible luck or B. you are overreacting, therefore over exaggerating a bit. I'd say it's combination of the 2. Midcore content is what Ex primals are, so the average player may struggle a bit. That doesn't mean they need to be removed from a roulette. That means that when you queue for Mentor Roulette, you are to be a mentor. Help people, for better or worse. A good many people are willing and able to learn. Some just learn at different speeds. Don't like it? Don't queue for Mentor Roulette or join random groups via PF.People routinely fail Ifrit Ex, Ramuh Ex, Leviathan Ex, Thordan Ex, Sophia Ex, Sephirot Ex, Nidhogg Ex, UNSYNCED. Why are people acting like these noobs are using the mentor roulette to queue up for primals? This isn't a noob/ bad player issue... it's a mentor issue... it's not like these primals are in any other roulette... people you're stuck in a party with want to be there and complete the trial... the only ones complaining are a few "mentors" who feel they should just get the easy stuff and never have to actually mentor anyone
