This might only be subjective, but something I've really learned to dread over the years is a roulette with someone who has a bunch of jobs maxed out. These guys just assume they're an expert because they finished the class stories, and the runs always go sooo sloooow. I've taken to calling them tourists, because they can't just settle down.

Were they new? Could have been they were just unaware of jobs being a thing, and no one told them otherwise. I’ve seen several new players that have zero idea classes turn into jobs at 30. Even though the game tells you they do but, you know. First time playing and paying attention to everything new and shiny.

So get Hell's Lid for my daily rol, myself as a Paladin.AST, DRG and Bard are my teammates. Things seemingly are going fine up through the first boss outside of the healer getting 5 stacks on the first boss, but noone dies so whatevs right? I do my usual double pulls afterwards but on the second set of two I notice that things are dieing REALLY slowly. Looking back they were even earlier on though atleast there I didn't have quite the best positioning for the long corridor double pull. Anyways multiple times I end up below 10K health even when using CDs with Clem saving me a few times, or atleast feeling that way. It wasn't till later that I confirm that the DRG's tp is sitting near the top, the reason I didn't notice at first is because the BRD was using there songs so everyone's tp was pretty good.
I decide to do single pulls after since I know the DRG atleast isn't doing AoE, but before we get there the second boss gives some trouble first. Namely in that the AST refuses to move away from the AoE marker showing where the boss will land instantly killing them. Again not too bad since Clem keeps me alive and the BRD using mana recovery ensures I can keep myself alive and they were pretty good at dodging AoEs themselves.
After this I go to single pulls but even this takes forever, and on the second set with four adds I still end up going below 10k and I'm pretty damn sure I went into the 100s, for sure was under 2000. I really don't like the "how low can you go game" even with friends. That said no deaths happened after the second boss just everything took much longer compared even to first day runs.
Edit: And update for right now! Load into a 50/60 tat is Haukke hard, and the tank immediatly leaves. Followed by the healer...got a new tank now though atleast.

I wish more people were aware of what's happening in an 8 man situation. I did Susano NM as a trial roulette on my AST. At least one person in the group was new and I'm pretty sure it was my cohealer. Which doesn't bother me but they did die a lot, leaving me to solo heal for a good portion (we wiped once because I couldn't keep up with people misplacing the stack marker). We had both a BLM and a MCH in the group. Not once was there a Mana Shift or a Refresh. When I rezzed the other healer, no MP regen for them, or for me when Swiftcast was down and I had to AoE heal. On our second run, I even asked if they could use them. Still nothing.
Please, use your support role actions. I beg of you. I promise they don't do anything but help. ;u;

How weird, I had a similar scenario. On my alt I finally got to susano NM and it was awful. I was an AST and the trial took two runs to clear, the second time with 4 dead (first run was 3% too).
WHM cohealer kept standing in things to die instantly. I basically solo heal half of both fights. Our BLM was equally infuriating as he basically never moved for mechanics and dies instantly every other mechanic. He became a deadweight and wasn't worth the MP.
And worse yet? Both the BLM and the WHM never stacked when they were marked and died instantly many times.
I can only solo heal for so long with this many mistakes. Like you I received zero mana shifts. Of course I wouldn't expect any if they cannot live for a minute at a time, or less.

Oh, I feel this. I loathe being put with another AST. What really confuses me about people like this is nine times out of ten they'll have AoE+damage cards pulled and ready while I'm still pulling mine. I'll watch and wait to see if they're going to use them, and they don't. My CD finishes and I find myself with AoE+damage cards. I wait some more to see if they're going to use theirs. By this time, it's been about one minute of them sitting there with their cards. I finally decide they're not going to use them, so I use mine with Celestial Opposition. Five seconds after that, they'll wipe mine with theirs.
(And recently, a disturbing amount of these ASTs are using AoE+Bole for no justifiable reason ...)
I'll always comm an AST who manages to actually work with me. Mistakes happen sometimes, and if I ever accidentally overwrite cards I'll always apologise in the chat. Some ASTs have done that with me, and all is forgiven. But when cards get overwritten without any apology, I'll just assume the other AST is bad.
The only cards I'll ever happily overwrite without apology are AoE Bole/Spire/Ewer when they're clearly not needed. And yeah, I've seen an AST using AoE+Spire to overwrite my Balance, and it kills me insideIt could have been accidental, but they said nothing in the chat, so I'll assume they meant to do that. I still remember their in-game name.
And now to my story ...
Joined an in progress dungeon as PLD in Brayflox. I got greeted immediately, and they begged me to 'be a nice tank'. I figured that something had probably gone wrong, and the last tank had probably yelled at the newbie healer and left, because the healer was a bit upset and seemingly on the verge of leaving, and they were all at the start 9m into the duty.
After one pull one of the DPS said, 'BTW, I think you should know that I'm drunk and other DPS is high af xD'.
I considered this, and replied, 'that's okay, I've had a bottle of wine and now I'm on the cider'. They all lol'd and lmao'd, and we commenced the best run I've ever had.
Turned out the 'high' DPS had the flu. I wished them to get better soon, and proceeded to tell them all about when I had the flu I hallucinated a green dragon trying to steal my duvet.
'You guys are sooo high! xD' the healer said.
We make conversation as we progress, including the shade of green the duvet-stealing dragon was, among other random stuff. I say , 'I dunno what the other tank's problem was cos the healing's great', and the healers gets all shy, but thankful. I pulled the whole dungeon perfectly normally (I even upped it to the kind of pulls you'd do for more experienced healers) and the newbie healer handled it fine. When we got to the end the DPS made arrangements to give me one comm and the healer the other. I quickly said, 'nah, give them all to the healer, I deserve nothing'. I bow, and leave.
I really hope I put a great spin on what could have been a potentially game-ending run for the newbie healer.

Thank you for confirming. I just wanted to make sure you weren't one of those "threat said so" people. I had checked your logs to see if there was merit to your statement prior to me asking, but you hid them so I didn't have much recourse, but to ask. For reference had I seen anything > 40th percentile on your logs I'd have given you the benefit of the doubt. I mean hell, if I could get 40th percentile players in my DF runs i'd be freaking thrilled.
