What jobs are we hoping to see in the next expansion?

I could totally see Blue Mage as a possible Garlean themed job. Let me explain.

Garleans can't use magic, so they have to have special devices to be able to cast similar spells to what we do. I'm pretty sure they have a different name for their spells.

They could probably make some device (that ends up being a soul stone) that records attacks against the user and registers them for use.

Even though Yoshi has said repeatedly that Blue Mage wouldn't be a thing in XIV despite the popularity for it. Dancer probably will show up eventually given Yoshi's claim last time around that he wanted to get it "just right".

Just like he got Red Mage "just right". I have zero hope for any new classes coming out. Dancer would be awful for males, some horrid "dance moves" with terrible looking gear to go along with it.

He said no such thing; only that it would be difficult to implement. He said the same regarding Red Mage. Will we be hunting open world mobs to learn their abilities? Probably not. All they'll do is tie that aspect of Blue Mage into quests.

I would definitely like Puppetmaster to be added as either a debuff healer or magical dps.
Then again I am always happy about any other non straight healer (yes I very much dislike WHM) with some cool gimmicks.

Hey, they are some players who honestly think that.
...Probably about the same amount as those who left the game primarily out of disgust for what was done to RDM.

Also, Dancers make me think twice about any thought against race-locked classes. Roegadyn male dancers with the same toolkits, stats, and animations as female miqote? One would seem to stretch reality and common sense a fair bit, in addition to any skimpy traditional outfits.

Blue magic is still 'magic' in a magical sense, and not artificially developed like what the Garleans do. Of course, there is the argument that all magic is just undiscovered science

Blue mages are not really known for technological advancement though, but based off of your statement, you can basically call Garleans Blue mages. In an odd sense, I think this actually works and a direction the devs could definitely go if ever introducing BLU to FFXIV. When you think about it, they constantly use the powers of others to achieve their goals, which is what BLU is all about.

I'm sure I posted on this one or another one like it. Too lasy to look as I post under my account and my hubbies. BUT DANCER... I loved it in FFXI... It would work in FFXIV as any 3 current roles.

Parry/Evation tank. This would be more of a reactionary tank vs proactive tank. Ya you would have your cooldown to take the tank buster but most of the moves would be after the attact to recover from the dmg.
DPS, Well that's easy simaler to BRD MCH bit in close.
Healer, Do minor DPS more then current healers and in closer but get stacks for doing dps that inturns lets you heal with dances.

I enjoy RDM, but I do feel they missed a big part of the class' appeal with mixing up melee and magic. It's basically a caster that has to put itself in danger once every 30 seconds to a minute for a combo and then jump out. Melee is barely part of the class at all.
