    Is there any way these cards could also be used in battles? Maybe it summons the creature embodied on the card or using one casts a spell or causes some ability to trigger?

    Other than summoning the Primals, I can't really see any other way to use them in combat. Really, they should revolve around rewards, Triple Triad and crafts instead of direct combat.
