Well I guess we'll see if the 1hr later thing happens or not.

From what I've been seeing the line came from a fan translation on Reddit but no one's been able to actually get anything official since then. That doesn't make it untrue but that also means it's better to play it safe since we won't actually know until servers are up more then likely. Also I don't think it'll be as bad though probably still not great. I think medium / larges will go fast and the nicer plots that are more wanted will go fast, but a lot of the more basic run of the mill houses will be around a bit longer. I still wouldn't be surprised if there was a queue and errors though since there's still going to be a decent number of people trying to get on at the same time regardless.

I'm no good with disappointment. Especially as this time I have the added aggravation of my own ISP! Wind storm my ass!
I really shouldn't be crushed like last time. My faith in this system is at near zero. But really, I'm feeling anxious already... not good...

We all are feeling something about getting a house later. And it's weird. Don't think I ever had this experience anywhere else. I keep reminding myself it's just a game. But why am I putting up with the unpleasantness of this whole thing? We all know there will be winners and losers out of this. Don't we all wanna play with people who also enjoy themselves in the game instead of a disgruntled bunch? In real life when you realize a host isn't treating every guest equally well, at some point you stop going to their parties. And I don't know what kind of character you have to still wanna keep going despite the fact. Now I'm thinking even if I got a house for my FC, it wouldn't exactly reflect well on me. Like seriously, who would willingly go through all this?
Someone who has invested so much in the game. And despite the outcome later, I'm already questioning if even playing it at all was time well spent. I dunno man, this whole thing got me soul searching it's weird.
I think the most frustrating part is that no matter how hard you work to save up gil for something as amazing as a house, it all comes down to pure luck after hours of waiting through maintenance in the early morning. Rather than even try any creative solutions to the housing problem they'd rather keep subjecting us to this torment. You'd think a company as big as Square Enix would be able to invest in a solution, especially with how successful the game continues to be.

Why is it such a big deal that personal home owners are allowed to relocate? The plot that they move away from opens up for purchase, the total amount of plots available remains the same.
It creates more competition for medium/large houses, and the house they open up will go on sale at a random time.
With the across the board nerf to housing prices and the amount of time since housing came out during Heavensward everyone and their mum has enough gil for a medium AT LEAST. Even with the amount of wards they are adding there is no way the amount of new Mediums and especially Larges can meet the demand for them. With every personal plot owner being given the same chance on them as an FC they will sell out within minutes, giving FCs that wanted to upgrade from the small they've had since 3.2 a snowball's chance in hell. That's the gist of it I think. Absolute bunk system that favors people who already have houses... oh and some FCs I guess. Thanks Obama.
