What in the actual hell?

That is among the most petty things i have ever heard. You were 100% right about the LB thing, then you coincidently trigger the LB at about the same time(and against a solo target yours is the better one to use anyway) and their response is "lets kill this guy"? Ive met 4 year olds who were more mature then this. Just... wow.

My guess is they kicked him too. If the group was a disaster they could have kicked you just so they could leave without eating a penalty, but that close to the end i imagine that isnt the case. In the long run, i might consider that kick a badge of honor or something. "I got kicked for explaining things to a newer player and sticking up for him when a jerk in the group started picking on him." Still, that guy sucks.

Content is out less than a week and already people who are 'new' to the fight are being considered an issue?Seriously?

Some people are beyond ridiculous. On patch day if the servers are up at 5am, then by 6am theres someone with a PF group up for whatever the new (ex) is demanding that participants know all the mechs and that mistakes will be kicked. Id like to think this is satire or sarcasm, but i know at least some of the time its real. Some people just suck as people.

No, i don't mean players are being punished by other players. It's more that the game itself punishes people a bit too much for being new. Like the tendency to remove visible aoe markers. So the newbies increasingly stay on the floor a lot. Mostly that's the only issue I see in DF; people are fine otherwise.

If someone is doing Sigma they are not new to the game.Its level 70 content you need to gear up to enter.And everyone who has done that content is new to it as it only came out this week.

Had a player in potd leave the party because i opened chests.
Always the ones with the max level weapons doing this.
It was ok for them to max their weapon but if anybody else tries to level their gear its frowned upon.

I just had the WORST bismark I've ever had. The tanks weren't tanking the adds. So they were wiping the DPS and the healers who were having to avoid getting hit by the adds. I had to use angel feathers because most of the party wiped during the add phase. And we almost wiped twice.

This was on Bismark normal mode. One of the arguably easiest trials. What happened?

I'm afraid they kicked the tank too, yes. The run was, except of the blm dying twice for standing in one shot mechanics, smooth. Nobody seemed to be underperforming. That's why it just added salt to his attitude and crowned it, especially if he had nothing to complain about, only himself :/

Yeah, I was thinking about vote kicking, but it was also early morning and nearing the end, so decided against it.

And another story from the same alt from the last. Got to Chrysalis which is always a hit and miss.

First run, we wiped after the second set of orbs because most of the orbs got to Nab. So we did a second pull and, despite being told not to use the LB until the phase change, a DPS decided to use it. I've had runs where we've been able to bounce back after that, but we also were down a tank when time freeze happened, so we wiped to the meteors. Ended up in a vote abandon.

So queued up again, and thankfully it went cleaner with orbs being grabbed and LB being held until tear (which just melted).

I'm a bit afraid of how Steps is going to go, unless I can get fcmates to just run it unsync.

That's why I stopped running it. Those weapons are I think 255 anyway, so they are outdated.. unless they were updated with the patch.

Positive/boring stories :

I tend to be the dreaded "casual player" for any number of reasons, though sometimes my efforts and what I still recall after my time away sometimes seems to outshine others in DF groups? Anyway, I kind of started hating WHM in the fall, switched for a while to SCH, and I still don't like some of the SB dungeons because even with all the advice I've received previously tanks seem to find a way to have their health drop like a brick if I even *think* about doing some damage during trash pulls. Last night did a dungeon for the first time since... November? New to Hell's Lid, back on WHM. All of us new. Did fine until last boss with two wipes, so tank asked me to go full heals to keep everyone 100% topped off since the mechanics were throwing people (literally). Sure, and we beat it. I personally don't mind going all in on heals if desired.

Decided to keep the momentum today, and get my sad 316 ilevel up (it's now at 320 and rising). Did old Fractal Continuum for the first time, went great and unlocked the new HM, which went great. Did all roulettes giving Creation (except 70s and Expert which I'm not eligible for). The 50/60 was Snowcloak, which was great (except I goofed and got pounced with boss at 5% but easy finish for the others). The Leveling though was one of the places I hate -- Castle Doma -- because of how it gets pulled. And... I kept up. I kept the tank alive and contributed a decent amount of DPS and saved some people from small goofs. I mean, maybe I wasn't all raid-hardened pro-healer smashing the dungeon and getting by with a handful of healing casts, but for me it was pretty cool. No one spoke, no comms, but that's OK, was still nice to succeed with a decent group.

Now, I'm wondering if I should push more. I can't keep all of a set of long fights in my head from watching a guide, and I avoid new 24-player raids (the Royal City guide melted my brain), extreme Primals, and savage raiding stuff. But I will need to try some new things to have a chance at better gear and to find avenues for improvement. I've unlocked Royal City and the extremes of the new Primals, and was on my way to unlock sigma normal, but I'm not sure which is best to start with for an over-achieving casual who has had good luck for the last 24 hours.
