Has SE had anything go right with housing? Seriously how can "supposed" gamers, have so little insight to actual gamers. This is seriously 2001 level development skills.

At this point they aren't going to take the houses away. As others have said it reflects poorly on them. The best they could do is implement a tax for every house over the ones you are now allowed to own. Which should have been with the only own one rule. Allowing players to keep houses if they wanted. Also allowing SE to pretend they weren't taking houses away from players.

Yea im with you, thats what i ment when i saied "just because someting is possible it dosnt meant you should do it". Its just unfair towards the rest of the community and of course they are greedy who in the world needs 30 plots. If you just want to build and decorate in the first place go and play The Sims and dont ruin a game for other players.

Even if you cant belive it but yes its realy connection issues, i dont know how things and connection are on your server when it came back on but on our it whas pretty bad for the first hour. There where dcs, lags and stuff like that, people witch normaly didnt had any issues got kicked when they tried to enter a ward and where stucked in the Login Que again. Our que whas realy high because everyone tried to login in time to get a house.

In your chase i would say you where just lucky or you dont play on an overpopulated server.

its not that simple as far as i know.Im sure plenty are useing scripts to keep spamming connect to get into the servers.When you have too many trying to connect to server at same time not everyone will be so lucky to get in.
There's also the issue of a lot of players having themselves or friends trade spam other players to prevent them for purchase.Although im sure most are ready for this time and have their characters set to not be able to send trade requests.

Don’t know a thing about that situation other than what I’ve read here in this thread. But no one deserves hate, especially not for complying with all rules put forth by SE.

Now, if you meant jealousy, that I could understand. For those who are not fast enough, or not industrious enough, or simply incapable of doing what someone else has and can are often jealous of the other person.

this is how it's typed out in the user agreement that everyone agrees to when they sign on to the game, they very well can and SHOULD take away houses from people who own more than one based on the rules they are about to put in effect.

Players should stop using common sense in a game:
I'm pretty sure none you is going to buy a (real) house running with 40M of Gil in a bag, hoping the others get disconnected, right?

It could just as well be they don't have a system in place to forcibly relinquish housing spread out as it is for players with multiples.

A simple thing to do would be to put in some kind of housing tax that has to be paid every week for upkeep of a house.Set at the right rate it could potentially cripple house hoarders and force them to relinquish some of their property due to upkeep.
Also you could have the houses relinquished if after a certain period of time payments were being made.Make it a month or so.This could free up all the properties for those who never log on but still own property.

a new rule should be a new rule for everyone. SE just dont have the balls to do it.
