Repair is in place because there needs to be some consequence to dieing/being in battle.

A couple of minutes in a weakened state isn't punishment enough for being reckless in battle.

The current system is very affordable compared to other games.

Repair NPC is your friend. Especially since NPC's can repair accessories in next patch.

You'd expect this sort of "I dont like Repair" "Airship cost is too much!!!111!" thread from someone who didn't have a LVL 50.

    But this? Shame on you.

actually that not why repairs are in place, repairs were here before that death penalty even existed.

    This makes no sense.

Repairs have always been here because there alway needs to be a penalty for being in combat or dieing.

    Your being pissy over nothing.

You skipped over a part of his sentence -- "A penalty for being in combat or dieing." Repair systems are in MMOs for the purpose of keeping players engaged in character management. It was added as a death penalty (all MMOs have one) because people would be upset for losing miniscule exp that's made up in minutes.

well you skipped over the whole thread were all i said was that gear damage wasn't not here from the start as a penatly for dying since that is a newer aspect. i never argued anything about gear damage for being in battle there fore i skipped over that part.

No but there has always been gear damage for being in COMBAT.

Repairs existed for a reason. And they still do.

gear damage wasn't a penalty for being in combat it was for taking damage, casters barley ever got damage in party play

I'm sorry. Perhaps I wasn't clear by saying "IN COMBAT". Or I guess it wasn't obvious that gear damage was accumulated by recieving damage. Because, you know. Its not like almost every other MMORPG shares the same system.

Thank you for reminding me why both your opinions and this thread are equally awful.
