I guess clicking to equip gear drops from dusk vigil, sohm al is just too much. The Vault, playing as bard. Tank was Lv57 and died in second pull. I checked gear and... had waist lv37, hands iLvl 100, and some things better than that.
I talked about before second boss and the tank said:
- sorry been trying to speed lvl so didnt wanna always update gear
- we have been doing good tho
Well, other dps quit. We somehow finish, but was sad. Laziness is sad.
What parties have you been getting? Most of the time, I'm too busy keeping my tissue-paper, over-pulling Random tank from face-planting (or too close, aoe sitting DPS--or both) to waste time/mana on DPS let alone stand there and 'GAB'. If I'm not healing or setting up a card buff then yeah I'm doing what shitty DPS AST can do (or whatever healer I'm going as ATM), but that's not my priority. I suppose that makes me a bad healer. But you know what makes a worse one? Wiping. I never put DPS before that. Sorry-not-sorry.It not Meta, they literally are pondscum. Every job should have to press their buttons, not stand around watching you do all the work while they gab. Unless doing your job correctly is now META, maybe i'm behind the times.
The funny thing is most of these pure healers are trash at healing too, just watch how many of them understand precasting.... watch and be appalled.
And I absolutely don't understand why starting battles with Regen/Medica II/Enhanced Helios (w/Diurnal) is a thing. I assume that's what you're talking about. I facepalm everytime.
It was a farm party but not everyone was lvl 60 and they were our only healer in the party. -I wouldn't have cared about the Scholar's comment if they'd actually kept the party healed (or at the very least, alive) but they didn't. Or rather, their pet didn't. Bad Eos.Ramuh Ex...unsynched? Cuz if you're farming it it, then I imagine that's what it is.
And if that's what it is then perhaps SCH was joking?
I hate to be that person but the only thing to be taken seriously there is the adds. o.o
FURTHER EDIT: I mean, you didn't specify if you solo healed that afterwards or if you both did or...whatever. Maybe I'm reading into this too much.

At least your tank did turn the stuff away, lmao.
Got Ala Mhigo in roulette as a Blm. It all went fine until we got to final boss. The tank doesn't turn him around and I get hit by his cleave and die. I shrug it off to a combination of tank not turning boss and poor positioning on my part. But during the fight I keep getting cleaved repeatedly. After I asked the tank to please keep the boss turned away from me, I notice that he purposely turns it in my direction to get me killed. He even went through the trouble to follow me when I stepped farther back, what a douche.
XDDDD For anyone that paid any attention to the Balmung banter back on 1395, ran into Anavi in my alliance roulette.
She shouted in Alliance chat. "Thyn'a! I'm role playing as Shiva!"
I just about died of laughter!!!
Sounds suspiciously similar to an Ala Mhigo run I had last night. Only this tank was just so weird with their positioning for the whole run. For one, they liked pulling a handful of mobs and staying in weird places (they liked being on stairs for some reason). They also couldn't keep in one place for long, so there was constant repositioning and getting boxed into awkward spaces by AoEs. The bosses were being spun all over the place, and at the last boss at one point they dragged him by the entrance and pointed him right towards the center of the stage at just the right time to kill me with the cleave. The healer that run definitely deserved all the comms and more for dealing with all that. Not sure if the tank was new or not since no one else but myself said anything the whole time, but that was by far the most bizarre Ala Mhigo run I've ever done.
I saw you standing there in your bunny eared glory and thought to myself, "I gotta take advantage of this."
Sounds like you are just uncomfortable with healing, don't worry you will get it soon. What parties have you been getting? Everyone has run into a tank once or twice who was squishy but I have never had a tank where i literally had to stop all dps and just baby him, that's an exaggeration some heals choose to use to try and vindicate their actions.
Once you understand the tools and get comfortable dungeon healing (and trials... and 24 raids... and ex primals... and some savage floors) is the easiest job in the game. No experienced healer is swayed by "tissue paper tanks" and other excuses, If anything I am harder on healers after losing my Cleric Stance.
And here I was thinking that taking advantage of seeing someone from here (that I recognize) was to give them copious amounts of hugs, but, you know... To each his/her own. =p
