    Glamour dresser red flag

    * Please be warned that gear, once transformed into a glamour, can no longer be used as an item. This is an irreversible process. Transformed gear no longer exists as an item.
    * Transformed gear cannot be returned to your inventory or Armoury Chest.

The dresser can hold a total of 200 glamours regardless of equipment type. Once this limit has been reached, glamours in the dresser must be destroyed before new glamours can be added.
This is a major problem. Limit of 200 items OR making the process irreversible is fine NOT BOTH. Especially if you’re going to add systems like fashion report that is going to have us adding new gear to it EVERY WEEK!

If it had unlimited space but the process was irreversible, that’s fine, most gear except the top level stuff is just glamours anyway due to linear progression and we could just keep filling it with the new stuff without effecting what we already have.

If we could remove stuff but had a 200 space limit, that’s fine too, we could take stuff out that we’re not using to put stuff in we are using.

But if I put a piece of gear in there that I got from let’s say, savage content/mog station/event, then have to farm/buy with real money that piece again if I want to glamour my squad or directly glamour it to a job without wasting a plate? That’s ridiculous...

If im not wrong you can use the glamour plates for the Fashion Check, which I believe was mentioned during the Liveletter.

And if you put something in the dresser, than you should be sure that you are going to use it in the next 5 years. Just be smart with your decisions what you want to keep in your inventory/retainer and what you would probably delete if you were to cap 200 glamours, which might be still expanded in future patches.

I have to agree completely. The dresser is worse in many ways to the inventory destroying system we have now.

I won't be able to store a huge portion of my stocked up glamour items because I can't apply glamours from the dresser to my squad, I can't retrieve the item again if I ever want it for another class or retainers or even just for cleaning out the dresser of lesser used gear because then I would lose that item forever, I may be wrong but the patch notes also give no indication that I can use glamours inside the dressers individually but rather only as part of a plate, and on top of that I can only apply these plates if I'm in specific zones which kills the main reason I would have used glamour plates for: specialized gear based on the zone I'm in; Like a cold weather set for Coerthas or a far eastern set if I travel to Doma.

Why is it that when SE adds something nice that other MMOs have, they make it either backwards or add tedium to it. WoW's transmog and Guild Wars 2 wardrobe is miles ahead of what they are trying to put in now. Heck they don't even have 'limits' with their system.

That makes it redundant though if we put in things we are fine with deleting, it's probably gear we're not that fond of or plan to use often.

So is the current system away? Or will we have both systems? If we have both then I imagine the wardrobe is meant for those pieces you know you won't get rid of, whereas you can keep the "maybe I want that" pieces in your inventory...

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Yoshida say during the live letter that items could be taken out of the glamour dresser? So this patch note is a reversal of that with no prior warning.

I agree with the OP. Limited space is ok, permanent transformation to a glamour is ok, BUT NOT BOTH.

I remember hearing somewhere that we could remove the items to use again, so to hear that I have to DESTROY an item to take it out.

I will have 0 use for this new system, unless I can also use items directly in my inventory on the plates.

I was originally gonna put all my Shiva weapons in there but it took me ages to farm them and I'm not doing it again. This is the stupidest backwards way they could have implemented this.

That's what I recall reading on a Discord translation so I am mostly been wondering if this is a mistake that simply hasn't been corrected in the pre-patch note (at least hoping so!).
