I think if people want to make alts etc thats up to them but i disagree with SE changing rewards just to suit them.
Look, As someone that is a mentor on multiple characters, I don't mind the grind at all. The grind is not what makes you a good mentor.
I however do pay more a month for my plethora of alts, and don't mind leveling jobs again etc. I love it. But there are some quality of life thing that would just make sense for people with alts, and it doesn't hurt ya'll with just one character, so I don't see why it's such a problem.
This is about the mentor system, not... gear, or something that gives an actual gameplay edge.
If you can be a mentor on one character, it kinda stands to reason that you, as the player, still qualify even if you're on an alt. After all, it's *you* who are the mentor, not the puppet on the screen.
It would make sense to be able to show that those of us who have alts that we have in fact done the grind (player time/player experience) across multiple characters. Mentor is not a reward. Mentor is something to be earned.Look, As someone that is a mentor on multiple characters, I don't mind the grind at all. The grind is not what makes you a good mentor.

My suggestion is directed to SE. We who do have alts and have had them active for a very long time have the experience and time in game as players. We have met the grind requirements. Now may we apply for Mentor?

What about people who share an account? Should player B on an account automatically get mentor status even tho player A on the account did all the work?
I became a mentor on my one character at the beginning of stormblood and started playing mid heavensward. it's not that bad.
You tell a parent they have to pay for multiple accounts because they have 2 kids who want to play the same game... back on subject tho if OP has time to level 3 alts to 70 (i320) then there is no excuse to not be able to achieve mentor status on one character... other than mentor roulette becoming available why do you want mentor status? In general mentors are looked down on by the community... seen as elitist braggerts who are rarely help sprouts...
