Size doesn't really matter considering target filters can let you click through players.
The real issue us it's hella rude. The cities are designed for foot travel. Nobody wants to be trampled over by some visiting adventurer on his chocobo.

Also, it was allowed in the past, during 2.x, after the final save. Lawlessness was rampant, people waking up with relic weapons, monsters in the cities. It was chaos. Everyone thought they'd die. When law and order cane back to the city-states, chocobo were once again barred.

You can't really count this time of the game since the rules weren't exactly followed. Eve. GM's broke some back then! I remember them crashing servers spawning too much lol

Reminds me of RO, where people would just go to Prontera and use 100 dead branches or a few bloody branches and watch the streets get littered with bodies.

It was a pain in the ass.

My only issue is I remember WoW having the issue of "look at my mamoth/yak and be salty that you will never use this mail box!" Even worst if they used an elixir of giant growth and used something that turned them into a Tauren..... unless they were already one.

Honestly, I think they don’t allow this because it can be pretty bad during event seasons to get to the NPCs and using mounts would only exacerbate the situation. Not only that, but rezzing everyone’s minion, mount, and character glamour may overwhelm the city areas. Most people’s framerate drops in large cities, though its most noticeable if you’re on a lower end PC.

Did you read the OP? All mounts would auto-default to the Company Chocobo.

Yeah, that's highly unlikely to work. Like Melichoir said, it's doubtful that their programing would allow for such a thing.

I miss my old buff with my hermes shoes. I was really upset when they changed it in 2.0. I don't even use them now. What a waste of what once was a great 1.0 CE item...
