Would it cause issues with clipping through hairstyles though? Unless it completely covers up the hair like the 'cowl' costumes do - though personally I don't like the look of that, and it would take away any appeal of having the hood up.

I honestly don't know. My hope is if we get the option to raise the hood that it be implemented in such a way to as to avoid hair clipping. It would be much better never to put it in the game than to put the hood in the game in a sloppy manner.

S.E., can we please have a hood up (/visor) option for our level 50 white mage robes?

While at this point I imagine they will not go back and make visor work for it but one thing I wouldn't mind is if they add the Healer Robe with the hood up and call it Healer Robe w/ Hood or something so that we can glamour it. With the new vanity system coming at least we could switch between the two robes easily enough.

And for the person that asked about the hood. When I brought up this topic in the past I posted some screenshots but some gear already has a shorter hairstyle for when they go on - I don't see why this wouldn't carry over.

I kinda wished it worked for the Starlight robes too, one of those has a hood.
