    FFXI is attractive to people because it's the opposite of this game, and its strengths are this game's flaws and vice versa. Like there is no large endgame in this game for players of all skill types like Sky, and there is virtually no group open world content. There's no real economy in FFXIV, and you can ignore crafting for the most part. The flip side though is everything in FFXI was a big pain in the butt to actually do, and you couldn't just pop in and make slow progress; yo could even lose progress if someone screwed up. It's just that the positives of ffxi are looking really attractive since this game isn't bothering to change much or make meaningful content in the modes it already has.

    FFXI is still a pretty good game, I still play it when I'm bored of FFXIV. I really miss the whole hard work dynamics of it. The only real reason I play FFXIV and FFXI is more for the story and just like FFXI I want all relics.

    I loved the WotG , doing all 3 story lines was fun. Bastok could of been better though :/ Though having something like that in FFIV would be nice or even something similar to Dynamis. I actually miss that lol

    WotG was good but it tool them so long for SE to finish it. I would love to have Dynamis (Die-in-a-mass) zones in this game. Make it like old school Dynamis, low drop rates one wrong move and you aggro the whole zone. Having up to 72 people in there and being able to communicate and coordinate together. The other thing I would love to see but it would take to much is bring back the elemental wheel. Talk about making BLMs having to pay attention when casting. Lets see them cast Flare in Ifirit and see what happens.

    Dynamis would be great for relics actually. as for the other ideas...What and make the game challenging? perish the thought. Then people will really complain that the content is too hard :P

    Well lets put it this way. No matter how good you were or how great your gear was there was always a damn rabbit that could kill you in a heart beat.

    Yeah those rabbits were a pain -.-...they were smart too they would chase you down and call for back up now that is survival of the fittest....that and they took your xp.

    The players of XIV could not handle content like Dyna...or salvage or assault, def not sky or sea, NMs or most of the bcnms for that matter, imo anyway. Look at the way they freak out about everything. A very small and select group would be able to have fun with it and the rest would be flooding the forums screaming demands of nerfs because god forbid you make anything even a teeny tiny bit difficult. Even the minutest amount of challenge is met with a hailstorm of whining in this game, which is why everything but top tier endgame is an absolute faceroll.

    The only difference between now and then is that the people who are whining now would just quit (or not try the game in the first place) then. "A very small and select group would be able to have fun with it" - exactly. That's why they stopped making content like that.

    No, technically they could make content like that. The problem lies with the fact that if the guy who plays for an hour a week cannot or will not put in any effort into making time or learning his job so he can do it, he will just scream and shout about how unfair it is to him and how every bit of content should cater to him and him alone because his sub is all that matters.

    No one quits, they just throw tantrums til they get their way.
