I would love to see an dancer, because having an melee healer is very interesting to me and would make it unique compared to the other healers. Wether the developers can make it work or not is another matter, but ever since i saw the artworks/concepts of the class in the older FF MMO, i wanted an dancer as the next healing class. http://finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/D...al_Fantasy_XI).
That being said i do hope that Dancer is eventually released. I truly wish it had been in Stormblood, as of now Ala Mhigo has since the full reveal of the teaser trailer, has felt like nothing more than an after thought when compared to the far east. A job celebrating more aspects of Gyr Abanina would have been very welcome. I have yet to fully level Monk to 70, but i have a feeling even with the allusions made by the RDM storyline will leave me feeling unstated due to my favored content being so gladly pushed aside for the more popular far Eastern theme.
The hope now is that Dancer and Blue Mage both find some connection to Thavniar, to help flesh out more lore and history from the area. Mind you i do actually enjoy many aspects of Asian culture and it is one of the reasons i was unpleasantly surprised that Samurai, a class historically known for honor and courage, would not be a Tank. There by ensuring no Asian themed jobs would ever be in the defensive/ Leadership role of a group. ( i did love the question asked of Yoshi P himself, "So does that mean that the reason Doma and Ala Mhigo fell was because they never had any Tanks around?" YP: "yes, please help")I can imagine the next expansion will have Ala Mhigo as the next big city and thats what the 4.X series lead us towards to. If that speculation on my part is correct, then the next expansion would be imo the best moment to introduce dancer alongside blue mage.

It'd have to be 'artificial' luck in a way, otherwise it'd be a balancing and gameplay nightmare. Some runs you'd parse way, way, way higher, others you'd play better but perform less, that's unfun.
WoW ostensibly added this, by giving Outlaw rogues a buff literally tied to roll dice, it's sorta liked/sorta hated, and very much random.

A pure support job will never happen in FFXIV. Everything needs to provide adequate DPS or what's the point in bringing them?we need a new tank and healer but honestly i want a new support dps, one that is actually supporty not just heres a few buffs. Dancer and Necro would be nice i can see one being a dps support or even possible a tank with pets. but also at the same time we need more melee dps, they always seem to get the short end of the stick.
Anywho, Dancer will be my forever love.

Oh no! You forgot to add Gunblade class!
My love and hope goes out to Dancer, I too want a REAL support job despite the trinity
(Which by the way since everyone is a DPS class now and tanks dont even bother with tank stance in savage raids and the healers are expected to DPS hard, does the trinity still exist other then by force?)

Chemist. Our campaign slogan can be "Let's mix things up!"
I would prefer a handgun, but chemist with any ranged weapon would be great.
Why not have a physical healer? Like with machinist, you can tie aether into it.

Every single melee dps job we have, with the exception of ninja, are known for facing enemies head on. Monks? Traditionally duel one on one and are honorable. Dragoons use spears, which are just as much a defensive as an offensive tool.i was unpleasantly surprised that Samurai, a class historically known for honor and courage, would not be a Tank
We already have three slashing tanks and of them two use swords. At some point dps needed to get a sword, and in lieu of dps getting DRK we got SAM.

My memory can be fussy but it seems to me Ala Mhingo had the blade dancer before the occupation right?
