As someone who finds audio cues really helpful, I would love to have more bosses voiced. The noises often get drowned out, but it's easier to pick out voice lines in a fight.

I have to agree about the voices becoming audio cues for moves, and liking them. Argath in Rabanastre has certain phrases that almost guarantee what his next move is, especially when it comes to his “judgement” move.

That and who doesn’t chuckle when they make an error on the battlefield and all you can hear is that voice in your head, yelling out “Sloppeh!!”

    Egh, depends.

It's nice to allow the boss a say every now and again, but if they use it on abilities they regularly rotate, it gets annoying just as fast as those people that macro their OGCD abilities with a RP line and sound effect >_>

one of the reasons I like World of Final Fantasy so much is because they had dub in every line in the game, every random NPC. Have to mention the good story, good soundtrack too, but having dub in everything was something excellent, that game was a masterpiece imo.
Ok I can understand this game need deal with 4 languages, but still...

Some battles would definitely benefit from it. Nabriales, for example, desperately needs it.

I don't think -all- battles should be dubbed, but major story battles moving forward would be nice. Especially when they hint at specific mechanics (like what should have been done with Nael, or what was done with Susano).

I still don't know how a simple taunt got flanderized into SLOPPEH. There's barely any force behind the word and comes off more as snide than bombastic like our dear friend in The Vault. Heck I don't even hear the similarity in how he says it to how people spell it but that could just be me not having fun with it

I came from another game where I relied heavily on sound cues to anticipate attacks. Switching over to ffxiv was pretty jarring for a bit but I adapted. I personally would welcome dubbing in battles, but there’s always the budget issues so...

Something interesting I found out, the inner/outer flood of naught in o4s has slightly different sound effects, saved my ass so many times when those mechanics always comes after a great flash from another attack and making it so it's difficult to see what the boss is casting.

That line really irritates me. He says something along the lines of "not bad" in a sarcastic tone in Japanese. Do we not have voice actors for English that can be sarcastic? I don't remember what Charibert says, I just remember "mouu" (sound of displeasure/whining). :| Localization =/= translating D: we need more translating in this game!

... Unless there is a hidden joke in there that it was assumed more JP players would actually dodge the mechanic and English players would be hit by it.

Ser Charibert's delivery of those lines with that voice modulation was legitimately cool though.

I'd like to see raid bosses voiced, or at lease the penultimate boss of each raid.
