I had a Qarn with a PLD who would Shield Lob. . . then /beckon.

I'm not kidding. /beckon. Like in some of those earlier levequests. . . Here and there throughout the run, I made polite suggestions to our tank who never responded. I believe I got him to maybe finally use Provoke or Flash after the golem boss, but after he wiped us one last time pulling the whole final hallway before the boss, he left just as silent as ever, and we just finished with 3 just fine.

Now someone please tell me where I was wrong to try to enforce any kind of reasonable standards on a /beckoning tank? I need a laugh today.

I guess my opinion wouldn't matter much at all, as I like the dungeons and have been grinding them nonstop cause I find them fun. I didn't know this much of the playerbase hated dungeons to the point it's a get in get out thing. I'm about to spam doma castle for as long as I can cause I like the music and boss fights. Why do I feel like I'm the only person who is goign to do that now? :C

Maybe its his macro with /beckon tied to skill. Would make more sense with Provoke though.
Still not as bad as some summoners /bowing to their pets after summoning them.

No this was clearly done as an attempt to pull enemies to him. There's no way you reach high enough level to run Qarn and not understand the basics of aggro generation. Then again, he'd be the clear example that apparently you can. . .

SMNs bowing to their pet isn't so bad, as long as they're not attempting to do that as a combat interaction or pet command, lol.

5 and half min susano extreme or 9 mins? The answer is pretty obvious. You would probably not be bothered by it as you got time. I have time too (most of the time) but doesn't mean I'm going to spend extra 4 mins when everyone is overgeared like crazy for the content and can't kill things faster. Farming means people are used to the mechanics and --should-- be avaible to do some decent amount of damage, but when they are doing the same damage I did as ilvl 320 something is terrible wrong, hell some people do as low as I did at 310. 25 min dungeon is slow and honestly you can do it at 15-16 min with just okay dps as in people doing a standar aoe on trash and some okay rotation on boss. If a dungeon takes longer than 25 min, they aren't aoe on the adds, not doing basic rotation on bosses etc. There is a huge difference doing big aoe than doing single target on big pulls, to many it seems like an impossible task.
when that happens, I just go play dark souls. but really, my threshold with regards to time is just very wide. 5min vs 9mins would never bother me because I don't register things as simply more or less. I register them based on tiered thresholds of time used to accomplish something. until something shoots over the threshold, it's within acceptable parameters. if it shoots under, that's just a bonus. I go in wagering an amount of time and come out with whatever left. I drop any further expectations on the outcomes.

Couple of reasons come to mind:

    - Means to an end, ie people just want to level up asap
    - If on a job that's downsynced, it can be far less fun to play (I can't stand being synced down below 50 in general, for example)
    - Dungeons, for the most part, are sleep-inducing easy

yeah. that's kind of the situation I'm in. I typically actually enjoy going through these motions themselves. it's really a big part of replay value and avoiding burnout.

As a healer main it doesn't bother me much. Either I'm free to DPS because my party is playing well or I'm babysitting with constant heals because my party is not so good. I actually enjoy players who care so little or are so inexperienced that I have to really challenge myself and use my entire toolkit to heal. Otherwise I'm basically a bottom barrel DPS tossing a regen now and then. I don't even need to stress myself out with weekly raid drama, Aurum Vale with the right (wrong?) Party is savage enough.

The thing is, dungeons naturally go by pretty quick if everyone puts a reasonable amount of effort in. When you have really long dungeon runs it usually means one or more party members aren't bringing anything/as much as they should to the table. The dungeons are fun yes and I'm also not particularly bothered if some runs take longer than others as long as everyone is contributing and not expecting to sit back and get carried while doing nothing. Then again, the notion of "carried" means different things to different people. For me I just like to see that someone knows there's 3 other people depending on them to contribute and that they're playing accordingly. I think the bottom line is people just don't like feeling like they're the ones taking on the bulk of the work yet the people they were forced to make up for get the same reward as they do, no matter what the content is.

I feel like there is always a huge dip in skill level near the end of the patch cycle since many players who have played since 4.0 have everything they need for 4.2. They don't need to do Savage, 24man raids or the Extreme Primals anymore because they have what they need so all you're left with are a handful of unskilled players, a handful of players with low IL and a handful of skilled players.
