It only shows that if you are on PS4 as well—it won’t show it if a PC player is examining a PS4 player, unless they have changed that in the year since I switched from PS4 to PC. I’ll have to go examine some of my friends that play on PS4 to double-check, but fairly certain it only shows your PSN name to other PS4 players.

That I did not know. I've always been on PS4, so I kind of assumed it was the same way for both. But that is definitely good to know. Even if it is a bad idea because you could blacklist/avoid someone to your hearts content, and not realize who it is you are adding on PSN if you never voice chat them/send messages(one reason I always appear offline...that and people like to send me tons of invites while watching movies)

yeah. I just checked this with a random FCmate and the info wasn't there. maybe it shows when you're in a group or duty but I'm doubtful.

If you're on PC you will never seen gamertags, not in overworld or dungeons. THat's only on PS4s. I checked with many people and PC users can't tell either or. So what that guy is doing is stupid as he will never know, unless people tell him OR he's playing on a PS4 himself. And tiny edit. I have both PS4 and a PRo and honestly.. the game runs fine on both. I haven't experience any hicups and I leave my consoles on 24/7. The only downside to the PS4 compared to the pro is PS4 is like 45 FPS and Pro is flat out 60. But honestly the game runs fine on both, now if you have crappy net.. that can be a deal breaker. but I have great net so maybe I'm just luckty that I don't see any downsizes on my PS4s. No I have one... I don't have a KB so typing on this site is a pain.

While "PC master race" started as and intended to be a joke... players are very much serious about it and really do belittle the platform player. Some threads even in this forum suggested that is the case when the occasional HD texture pack for PC players thread comes up; and get's rejected for PS4 consumers holding them down for fairness sake. The same can be said as well for in-game parsers. There're a portion of players who really do view PSN players to be "street rats".

hmm...that actually does look pretty smooth. what I've seen of the vanilla ps4's framerate always disgusted me but this is pretty acceptable.

eh, I have severe disdain for the companies that put out the consoles but that's the extent of it. also ReShade handles pretty much my only graphical complaints with XIV.

ive been wanting to try this game out on ps4 for a while. just to experience a controller without having to remap it all over again because i suck at setting these things up... but i have friends that play on ps4 and no matter what i can never see their gamertags and they told me only ps4 players can see it, that way they can add each other if they want to / need to for voice chat ^^

It's a monkey role for your weakest players.

It's a role that when isn't done right is big trouble for everyone else but is so easy to do that you fail to comprehend how other people cannot do it. But because the role itself is so braindead easy there is no real satisfaction from excelling at it and being good at it means having to be bad at it ironically(no tank stance). Then you become a easy mode DPS with very easy to execute responsibilities and you have a role that is very unsatisfying to play.

Not to mention the fact that excelling in the offensive part requires your team to not be selfish dirtbags and help you attain your max potential. So along with being a unsatisfying monkey role, it is a DEPENDENT unsatisfying monkey role.

Finally, your impact as a tank is considerably less than the other roles meaning you have much little ability to carry the team in the event that you're stuck with other monkeys or that you matter the least in a competent team.

Little impact, dependent, easy-mode, hard requirement leashed dog role.

Uhm... mayhaps you have the wrong thread? Your post has nothing to do with the thread topic. I’m guessing maybe you meant to post in the Tank Poll thread? O.o
