    A dungeon should be as much about exploration as it is combat. It can be completely linear but still have segments that don't revolve around combat - so a jumping puzzle as a 'boss' would be a great way to mix things up a bit. Just make it so that only one person needs to succeed to win the encounter and that leaves a lot of wriggle room for people who loathe anything outside of the norm/can't succeed at jumping puzzles.

    That's a fair compromise. I'm not even particularly in favor of jumping puzzles but anything that isn't just "pull everything from point A to point B and aoe ad nauseum" would be a welcome change. That small dip near the end of Shisui was nice. The 3 different routes in Rabanastre are probably the most interesting part of what would otherwise be just another alliance raid. . . Something is better than nothing, though players would have to accept that it perhaps takes just a little more time.

    Might be interesting if failing/ignoring a mechanic in an early boss fight or area affects a boss fight/area later.

    As much as I'm for unique challenges and such in a dungeon, I loathe jumping puzzles. With my limited vision and depth perception, they are a time-consuming nightmare.

    I wouldn't mind it, considering every dungeon in the game is the same old corridor with mobs in the way with 3 bosses, something to break the monotony would be quite nice, since I also really enjoy Cliffhanger.

    They would certainly have to tune the game better for it though, as someone who has not only climbed Kugane Tower several times and even got that blasted lamp post one, the game has such woefully bad detection on floors and stuff, like, most of the time when I am climbing Kugane I am standing on thin air and that can throw off a lot of your jumps, giving it a layer of fake difficulty.

    Honestly, fresh new ideas are welcome, there is no reason to get excited for new dungeons since they will be the same old slog with no new surprises, give Bardam's Mettle some credit, the second boss was a nice breath of fresh air, wouldn't mind another one of those frankly.

    I love JPs, but I really don't think they should be implemented into dungeons in any way that affects the actual progress of it.

    If they wanted to add something, maybe add a small JP at the end of the run for a bonus chest or something.

    Having to dodge bombs that knock you back and off an edge while fighting trash mobs as you are running up a tunnel or something!? Woah there friend! This sound like A Dungeon that needs an (Extreme) tag! ;D

    But I'd be all for "Extreme" dungeons. You know we've NEVER had an extreme dungeon? They could be so fun, they'd probably be more fun than raids LOL. I'd have to explain what an extreme dungeon could be though, 4-man, 8-man etc etc. But I'm Lazy and hungry, bye~

    I actually thought adding a jumping puzzle at the beginning of the dungeon that takes you right to the boss and has two chests (that mimic bosses 1-2) right before the boss encounter would be awesome. Seeing how i have climbed the tower and landed on the lamppost several times and I do it almost weekly just to see if my skills are still good I would love this. Have it also enable the shortcut function once get to the chests so that not everyone has to do the jump puzzle. It would allow groups that didn't want to attempt it to still complete the dungeon while those jumpaholics like me to have some fun and provide an incentive to do it besides just a chest.

    No thanks. Not a fan of jumping puzzles. They are ok for optional content but not dungeons.
