it doesn't have to be a hooded body piece, just make it a hooded headpiece. The creation tome is like that, as are others.Literally, just make the whm AF armor have a hood for its head slot. Its not hard.

... Or make it a head piece that switches between two looks depending on the /visor status, for example, the level 50 WHM head piece is a crown if I remember correctly then if we used the /visor command it would turn into a hood, of course they must adjust the robe accordingly so that it will hide the hood when it becomes visible on the head to avoid duplicates!...

I'm sure it can be done with relative easy because there are already several gear pieces that behave like that, I've noticed mostly on skirts and stockings!...

Yes those are already made that way, unlike the WHM and others that aren't, they would have to go back in and change the looks of the helm to a cowl style, which they don't do that i'm aware of. Not hard no but it's not logical to change it either.

That would require them to go back and make an actual cowl then add a /visor option, logically speaking the easier way would be to just hide the helm with the cowl via /visor but seeing as how they don't generally change gear or mess with older content I doubt it's something they will do, as much as we would want it.

Because everyone plays female characters? Don’t think anyone asked about what you want as a glam zexy, the OP was asking for themselves and their preference.

I think it's due to them not liking clipping and while they could just more than likely make the helm be invisible while the hood is up, I doubt there are enough cowled robes in the game for this sort of thing. I'm not against it by any means, the few other robes that have a cowl to them are great looking and would love to see them have a /visor like option, but I doubt SE cares enough to put it in.
Sorry, Shouko! It's been one of those days and I've needed to hit the pain meds a bit more than usual.

Anyways, I'm happy to see I am not the only who would like to see our hoods get a /visor option. Now, I know this takes more effort than simply popping in a new equipment model. But, if enough of us ask for it, maybe, just maybe, we'll see the /visor option added to white mage and other robes.

No worries, yea let's hope there's enough support that they at least look into it.

More Iconic FF looks FTW! +1
totally in favor of anything that gives more options AND deepens FF roots.

I noticed that theres several outfits that have hoods. Like Lyse's liberator jacket, the first PLD AF set, the WHM AF, several caster robes and Aymeric's armor to name some. Ive chalked it up to typical FF design. Like the abundance of pointless belts, buckles and zippers.

Would it cause issues with clipping through hairstyles though? Unless it completely covers up the hair like the 'cowl' costumes do - though personally I don't like the look of that, and it would take away any appeal of having the hood up.

They could make it auto-hide headgear. No need to not use headgear when there is a toggle to hide it.
