Right about here.
Gear is the only form of vertical progression in this game beyond leveling your character to max level. It's important that everyone can improve their characters at max level, so Square Enix gives layers of gear to satisfy that quintessential hallmark of an MMO.
Casual's item level is not going to be raider's end game, and raider's item level is not going to be casual's end game. Everyone has a different end game in this game relative to what they want to do.
To deny vertical progression for casuals is to deny progressing their jobs at level 70. That would kill the game because any feeling of meaningfulness improvement would be given to raiders, and that'd be unequivocally unfair.
As long as casuals don't get the highest level of gear like raiders do, it shouldn't matter what gear casuals acquire. Relic weapon might not be your end game, but it might be end game for somebody else.
Furthermore, you are discussing the end game of a raider and applying it to a casual. That's not how it works. Casual's end game, as I explained, is not the same as a raider's. You shouldn't, then, apply the standards of a raider to a casual and say that gear doesn't matter to them. It does matter but in a different context.
Edit: I can only post 1000 characters, so I made two posts to make my point clear.
Delay was announced 2 months ago. We ALREADY knew this. Stop spreading nonsense.
I'm no disappointed in the slightest. I'm looking forward to Ananta tribe , submarines thingys and new gear.
Doesn't bother me one bit. It was expected really. There's plenty to do in this game. Not choosing to do certain aspects of it is a personal problem for people.

Honestly if it gets delayed again they may was well scrap it and overhaul it for the next expansion. At this point we're already likely losing a step in the weapon/armor's empowerment or they're going to nerf the first few steps to create a sort of "catch up" to where we should be.
4.3/4.3.5 would be pretty far into the expansion's life to start this.
Considering I was originally expecting Relic in 4.15, then 4.2, and now 4.25 yeah i'm a bit disappointed. Thankfully, there will be other stuff to occupy my time.
Not disappointed in anyway with this. We are getting so much content already on 4.2 release that we will be busy for a while anyways. Just don't rush through things and you will be fine.
They said they are aiming for 4.25 which in SE terms means not bloody likely
I don't mind. I would rather them take their time and make it great than releasing something half-baked like Diadem was.
