SE at it again. Always have to take something that should have been simple and was asked for by players and morph it into the most overly complicated thing they could think of. A simple glamour log is all we wanted. Collect the gear, checked off in log, forever usable as glamour. This is getting really old, SE.

And in addition to the actual issues people are seeing with this, it’s going to be called a commode? Maybe just me/where I live, but I actually had to google to see that that word had any other definitions besides toilet.... that’s the only way I’ve ever heard it used. I think a different translation would be better, but really no biggie either way.

Yep, in the US, particularly in the south, mention a commode and you'll be directed to the toilet.

If they had made an instanced wardrobe system to allow you to access your glamour log that would have worked. Sure, its a clunky fix and you can't take it around with you but it is what everyone wanted, no matter the hoops we'd have to jump.

OR, I was thinking something like a catalogue. You put your set or piece in the catalogue, its gone from you but unlocks off the log. Then you can order it in. Wouldn't that save space everywhere?

As for the word commode, I thought it was a JP to ENG typo, I've never heard it before (I'm not from the US). Google is showing me pics of old toilets.

From what I've gathered, it's somewhat similar to the Transmog system WoW utilizes. You convert gear into "prisms," which sit in a separate UI, thus freeing up space. You'll then be allowed to use those "prisms" to create Ensembles. In theory, you should be able to turn those on and off, thus allowing Paladin and Dark Knight to have unique glamours. That all said, the ten slot limitation is straight up dumb. That doesn't even cover half the amount of jobs and classes we have.

I get the impression they don't want to outright kill the current glamour system, which say, 50 slots would. Sadly, the devs seem to have this weird desire to cling to everything.

Can you explain how other games (WoW for example) are able to give players a list of all the skins among thousands they have ever owned and even let you look at it in dungeons? I don't need to be a tech expert to see the disparity between otherwise similar games.

But if it's too much data for instances in this game then I would be ok with an inn-only wardrobe where all obtained skins are listed and able to be glamoured. To give us a limit of 200 item skins is not what I'd expect from a good quality game in 2017.

So this glamour toilet is the system that would take "an hour to talk about"?

    What a joke.

edit: The best part? They've invested time & resources in it, and now we're stuck with it.

There isn't much info out on this but from the look of things...

    There's only 10 ensemble slots?
But there's like, 20 + jobs, inc DoH and DoL. The whole reason people were asking is so all their tanks, casters, healers etc could glam unique to their job.

While this will be a small space help it is not what we really need which is a glamour log that stores the look of all items we have acquired. It is fine to restrict a glamour log to inn or house access only. (Also please change the English name for this item as Commode = toilet to a lot of us.)

For anyone that has played Diablo 3 why couldn't square just make something like that? Go to npc that keeps a window (and try on window) of all gear looks in the game that unlocks as the character levels up. Green/blue/unique/untradeable gets unlocked by owning it (can be trashed afterwards). Just pay gil and boom that slot now looks like x gear. It even has a dye option to it. This commode system sounds like an overly complicated well you know place to relieve yourself.
